What does everyone on BD.org put in their beardie's salads? Right now I use dandelion greens and the occasion spinach leaf. What have you tried and does your beardie like or just hide it under the table so they can have desert?

Alvin LOVES the tender green/red leaf lettuce and mustard greens. He actually prefers those over dandylions. I also have tried butternut and speghetti squash but I haven't seen him actually touch either of them.

Please don't feed your Beardie spinach. It binds the calcium and they need calcium. Spinach is a big no-no. You can find a huge list of good foods to feed your beardie here:

http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html

This is a handy guide to save in your favorites list. I consult it on a regular basis for variety food items for my beardies. It even has a nutrition contents list and how often to give your beardie supplements.

We feed two of ours mostly collard greens, dandelion greens, cilantro, parsley and mango and canteloupe for treats. I would avoid any and all lettuce because it's mostly water and there is not enough nutritional content in it to even feed your beardie.

I feed Drago a daily salad which consists of all or any of the following...mustard greens, turnip greens, collard greens, dandelion greens, acorn squash & butternut squash. He seems to LOVE the butternut squash & Dandelion Greens the most.

tyson tends to like collard greens and dandelion greens the best, but he will eat mustard, turnip and oranges. He did not care too much for squash or apples. I usually buy the bags of precut collard greens at the bigger grocery stores for around 3 dollars and they stay good for two to three weeks.

bjvolk2 are u offering oranges & apples included in the salad as everyday staple foods? These items should be fed on occasion or as treats. Beautiful Dragons.com has a great list of good & bad nutrition if u would like to check it out. I love this site because it actually explains why certain items can be harmful.

Thor gets a mix of mostly collard greens and turnip greens, with a bit of kale and the occasional addition of fruit. I'm looking for a place nearby that sells dandelion greens so that I can give him even more variety with veggies. n____n He seems to enjoy when I pick a few bits out of a grape and drop them into his salad.

hmm apparently bjvolk2 used my name to post. I get dandelion greens at whole foods if you have them in your area.

Yeah you should never give your beardie spinach. Collard greens are a great staple food for them, I also throw in some strawberries and apples in there sometimes, mine doesn't really like blueberries but you can try with yours. Good luck!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
