I just think that once they reach around 16 - 18 inches and have a good weight on them then they may well try to brumate in some form although, it is uncommon, and even more uncommon for them to do it in Spring lol! Dont quote me on it but I think fresnowitte had a juvie brumate this past winter.

Good job with the hide then.... that should keep him up for a few extra hours! Sounds like he loved the white blanket... odd though, since white seems to be a confusing colour for them - at least it is for my two lol!

Barbara and I each had a juvie brumate this year. My Bogie was 8 months old and 18" long. Barb's Pvt Blaze was 6 months and 19" or so. Both brumated for 2 to 3 months. Both have been awake for awhile now though. However if your dragon is on Aussie time- it's fall there. :lol:

It's kinda freaky though. Kenshin is 7 months 20" and napping all the time and cutting back on food too! Seriously it's a conspiracy of juvie beardies to give us heart attacks. I keep fretting and worrying but it sounds like I'm not alone!

It's so awesome to have this forum to see that you don't have the only "difficult" beardie (not that I would give him up for anything in the world... he's my pride and joy)

I know this may not be the time or the place for such matters, but I have to scream and shout somewhere.
I guess its relevant because you guys do ask after my father.

Im just so livid. Rage beyond all rage.
My father started daily radiotherapy ontop of his chemotherapy. A day or so after his chemo he was really ill and in severe pain.
We just thought it was radio catching up with him because we were told it might exhaust him.
Then the hospital calls and asks him to be brought in immediately.
Insted of giving my father a HALF dose of chemo as they were supposed to when he started his radiotherapy, they gave him a ******** DOUBLE dose of chemo. Four times the amount.
A DOUBLE GOD DAMN dose of something which WIPES OUT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM.
THEY COULD HAVE KILLED MY FATHER.
He has been under observation at the hospital all day.

Appologies mean nothing. They could have taken away my father. If he had been around someone with the flu at the bank or shop he could have been too weak to fight it.
They are going to rue the damn day they did this to a family containing a judge, a barrister and a solicitor in training.
My father doesnt want us to do anything, so we wont right now, but his friends and family are filled with indescribable rage.

Just to top off my day I had to go to the dentist and ended up getting 4 fillings. My whole face is numbed, including my ears. All I can feel is the corner of my eyes and my forehead.
What a day.

I came home in floods of tears, needing comfort, so i got Ruben out for a cuddle.
He immediately turned black and gaped at me.
He's never seen or heard anyone cry so I must have scared the jesus out of him, so now I feel really selfish for scaring him.

God give me strength.

OMG..Holly. I can't even find the words right now how disturbed and angry this makes me. Maybe your father doesn't want you to do anything..but I can darn day well tell you I would. I know the only important one here is your father, and it's the way it should be, but I also see it as how many other cancer patients have they done this to? How many others got a double dose of chemo and DIED? If they did this to my mother..you can darn day well bet I would be raising the roof off of that place, and spending EVERY penny I did or would EVER earn paying for lawyers to sue the crap out of those people..to make an example out of them so it would never happen again. Thankfully my my Mom went to Dana Farber in Boston, they are one of the best in the country for treating cancer..if that ever happened there..I'd be shocked.
I'm sorry Rube shunned you. Maybe it was because he sensed how sad you were, and maybe you smelled different being at the dentist and all and he was confused by it, because you didn't smell like "mommy". I bet he'll cuddle you today.
I'm so sorry this happened and will continue to pray for yor family.

I can't even imagine how horrifying that would be. I think they'd need to haul me out of the hospital in a straight jacket because I"d be tearing them a new one in a loud and furious way.

Thank God they realized their terrible mistake and got him back to the hospital to prevent him getting ill.

I hope you get some great cuddle time with Rube tonight. Animals can sense our moods and I"m guessing dragonphoenix36 is right and Ruben was just confused.

Ohhhhh Holly... I wish I had words to ease your rage but you are right, you needed to write it down. Rube understands that some thing is wrong with you. It's his ma and she's upset. He was just trying to scare off the meanies that hurt his ma!

Oh Holly I'm so sorry! Will there be any long term effects to your father? I can't even imagine how livid you must be. I wish I was there so I could give you a hug and stand next to you while you yell at those stupid doctors. How is your dad doing today?
