I am happy to say that Rosie and Frankie did great on their first 12 hour road trip.
When my husband said we were going to visit his family, I refused to leave Rosie and Frankie behind. I purchased two large clear Rubbermaid bins, got screen lids and a small uvb bulb to take with us, packed their food and basking lamps, and off we went.

In the car, I had Rosie in my lap the whole time and my 16 year old held his Frankie in the back. Rosie had a great time. I propped a pillow up in the window for her to sit on and she was mesmerized by the whole thing. Most of the time the sun was shining so she was warm enough, but going through one state, it started raining, so she got up under my shirt and stayed warm as toast until we hit sunshine again.
