Roach food

What brands of dog food do you guys use to make your own roach food? I heard something about some dog foods having pesticides in them and to avoid those so im just trying to see what other people use. Thanks in advance for any help.

I use the same dog food I feed my dogs, Costco rice and lamb.

I use cat food. I don't think it really matters too much. Maybe something with a little more protein, but like I said, I don't think it matters too much. I mix in crumbs from the last of my kids' cereal boxes and leftover cereal that we don't eat. I notice that the pieces of cereal get eaten out of the roach food bowl before the cat food does.

Dubia LOVE sugar. Mine too love the left over cereal. They also love left over fruit and veggies, with citrus being their fav. When I make roach chow, I grind up the costco dry dog food and add some sugar and fish flakes to the mix. They like this mix the best. But often being lazy, I usually just throw in the dry dog food whole without grinding it up.

i use some nutro max ultra for adults, its about 15% protein, and less then 6% fat, its organic and some other crap that i dont remember. i also use some wheat bran mixed with baby cereal, oats, and sometimes milkbone or corn meal.

they seem to like the latter more then the dog food. im also thinking of adding some protein powder in the mix to boost up the levels a bit more.
