Such as what? All I put in there is water crystals, high protein kitten food, orange slices and butternut squash. And the egg crates. You can put in pretty much anything that is good for your beardie such as mustard greens, collard greens.....
I use kittten food and I ground up the juvie bearded dragon food that mine won't eat and put it in there also. Then I put carrots in there and water gels the carrots don't mold easy. I haven't put any oranges in there yet but I will soon. As for egg crates....you don't need them. If you save papertowel rolls, or my favorite (what I use) drink holders from fast food places. As long as they're cardboard. The drink holders are a lot like egg cartons and if your family eats out every day like mine does your set! Lol
You don't really need the high protein dog or kitten food IMO.... It's just a waste of money, if you ask me.... Poultry mash is good and satisfactory.... Pretty Bird Food is good, too. These are roaches that feed on mostly vegetation where they come from, so they don't need exceeding high amount of protein. They will thrive on veggies and fruits alone from personally experience. Feed the poultry mash or Pretty Bird Food along with veggies and fruits and you'll have thriving colonies in no time. They seem to like cantaloupe, a lot, from what I have seen. It's like Viagra for them, like oranges.
