O well.... im sure Jojo will have no problem with a couple extra weeks of stitches!

Thats great that Dr. Sean was so pleased with her and great that he was able to give an explanation as to why she hasnt lost any weight!

YEAH Jojo, what a girl, she came through her exam with flying colours . She can put up with 3 more weeks of stitches, she gets good soaks every day, and doesn't show any distress at all. Such good news, what a great Xmas present! You're lucky to have Dr Sean as a vet, he sounds like a very knowledgable beardie vet, too. So about the fat pad, that just needs to heal? He'll know more in 3 weeks.

Such GOOD GOOD news, Jojo, and you eat your salad now, too! It'll keep you in great health, too!

Yippeeeee!!!!!!! So happy to hear that Jojo 1) had been eating her salad (even though she'd tire out in midst of chowing down :lol, 2) had a great followup visit, and most importantly 3) is fast on her way to a full recovery.
So what if she gained 2 grams! That should be a good thing because it means that she's feeling better and is eating again. Give her a couple more weeks of recouperation and she'll be bouncing and running around again and will shed that excess weight in no time.

Michelle, Jojo sure gave you a great early Christmas present, huh?

That's so cute Michele, the way she feel asleep eating her greens then after she rested, she picked right back up where she left off. :mrgreen: Gee, I wish I had seen that.

What great news, it's ok that she doesn't get the sutures out for 3 more weeks, Dr Sean wants to make sure she is totally healed and that's certainly what you and everyone wants. She doesn't need a setback. You must have been SO very pleased about everything he told you, wonderful news to hear! Also great that he's not worried about the lump and that it has shrunken so much. I'll bet you couldn't believe it when he said she was 2 grams heavier than the day of her surgery. We all know that you've been following his orders to a "T" and since she's redistributing her weight, that proves it. Good girl Jojo, you made your mom (all of us) very happy.

I'm glad to hear they were all up for you I am so lucky to have Dr Sean as a vet,he really does explain things well and he really takes the time to check her over really good. He is very confident that her insides will heal completely very soon.

Gina,I hope you are right and she bounces off the extra weight soon :mrgreen:

Diane,I wish you could have seen her fall asleep in her salad.I actually thought of you when I saw her do that :lol:
and you are right,it's better that Dr Sean didnt push it and take the stitches out too soon. :wink:
Jojo seemes relieved too.I stopped at the desk on the way out to pay off the remainder of the surgery balance and while I was doing that Jojo popped her head out of the duffel bag, climbed out,and looked right at the receptionist! We both laughed so hard! :lol: She did NOT want to stay in the bag so on the way home I had no choice but to let her ride on my shoulder.I had the heater in my car blasting and by the time I got home I was so dehydrated :roll: but at least Jojo was happy.

Out of all the beardies I've had, not one of them didn't like our shoulders. I think that's part of being a beardie, one must like shoulders, or in the case of Goldie Speedy, the back of the head.

Michele, I'm glad things went well today. It's good that your vet didn't want to push too quickly. That is hilarious about her falling asleep in her salad bowl. I wish I had some way of watching Lilly during the day. And hey, if Jojo needs to get rid of some of those extra grams, feel free to send them Lilly's way :lol: .

Lori, usually Jojo's favorite spot is on my chest but when we are in the car she likes my shoulder so she can see whats going on :mrgreen: She seldom goes on my head because she slides off :lol:

Yay!!! Im so glad JoJo is doing well and following her diet with lots of salad!!! Also good that the Dr is waiting till he feels comfortable that poor JoJo is ready to get her stitches out.

Hello Michelle,

I was wondering if he would wait to get the stitches taken out, I was a bit concerned with that also. Great that he did not even charge you for the visit, too! How nice of him to do that for you.
I agree, the fat pads can be redistributed & mobilized while she is leaning down bodyweight wise. She is looking great, & she is probably feeling a lot better now too.
What a good girl she is eating her greens & veggies so well now, so she must be feeling pretty good.
