Hi Michele, the big day is almost here. I somehow got unsubscribed, so back on here now & just got caught up. That was a huge poop, looks good, too. Not sure why her urate was hard, but we have a dragon, Rubio, who's urates are always harder than they should be. He won't take a bath but I give him up to 2 tsps of water daily, so should be an issue. Oh well, it's hard to tell with dragons. Hope the next poop has a better urate.

I'm so glad Jojo's full of energy & eating so well, good for her. We all send HUGS and good wishes for the vet visit on Wednesday. I'll be checking this thread to keep up and I hope you and Jojo have a great holiday season.

That's great that Jojo had another poop with the urate nice & soft. How is her wt now compared to before the surgery? Does the lump still appear smaller?

Hello Michelle,

Great that you got the swab! I am anxious to see if she tests the same way only with a different test.
It sounds like she is doing very well right now. She looks happy now. So, she must feel so much better too!
The stitches, if they are not disolvable then he will just gently remove them. He will most likely put a little bit of numbing solution on the area just in case he hits something that might still be tender. She will be fine, no problem at all. I assume that the area is healing up nicely then? Have you been putting ointment on that area?

Thanks Tracie,the appt is tomorrow. They are not dissolvable and that's what I was worried about.So I guess it won't bother her too much to have them pulled out? I hope he uses a numbing solution on the area. Her incision looks GREAT,and the only thing I have been using on it is the NewSkin so I can soak her.
I have her in the bath right now HOPING she will push out a big poop and lose a few grams :lol:

Good luck at the vet tomorrow, be sure to let us know how you (she) makes out, I know you will. :wink: I'm sure her belly will feel a lot better with those sutures removed.

Great pictures, I'll be thinking of you two tomorrow and waiting for a great update. She's so good with her salad eating and basking. Well done, Jojo. Ours are so spoiled I don't think they'd eat as much as she does on her own. We usually have to feed them, sometimes I have to get a bit pushy to get veggies into them. Beardies, what can you do.

Jojo has such a lovely viv, you've done a great job and I really loved her decorations. So bit hugs to both of you, sending you lots of good luck and healthy, Jojo. Sweetie was up yesterday, so said to say hi. I'll let her know when she wakes up in a few days.

Deb,ever since her surgery she has been such a good girl eating her salad,sometimes even TWICE a day! Today was so funny,I was watching her on the webcam at work and she was eating her salad and all of a sudden she fell asleep face first right in the bowl.She woke up about an hour later and continued eating :lol:

Update on the vet appointment:
Good news and bad news,
The bad news is that Dr Sean didn't think the stitches are ready to come out yet,so I have to go back in 3 weeks.
The good news is that he didn't charge for the appointment AND is VERY pleased with her progress. Her belly is nice and soft,her fat stores are diminishing and that lump that I was worried about shrunk about 1/3 of the size! Originally Dr Sean thought it was her stomach but now that it has shrunk and shifted a bit he thinks that it is the top end part of her fat pad on the left side. He said that during surgery he did alot of rooting around in there trying to locate the ovary so it could also be inflammation. He had to actually peel back a layer of the fat pad.

Oh and her official weight at the vet was 718gms,2 grams heavier than the day of surgery,LOL!! I swore to him that I am following the diet,and he laughed and said that she is redistributing the weight and she looks really good
