Is 63 ok? That's what was read this morning before I turned on lights and using a CHE over his blankets. I'm also running the CHE as well because the temps were reading 84 and climbing up slowly.
Oh, I turned it off though around 7-8 PM and just got your message.o.k, it could be a little higher but that's reasonable. keep the lights on until 10 o'clock to keep as much heat in as possible for later when you turn the che on for the night.
I'll keep an eye out for any puffing, coughing, gaping. I quickly heated his tank up as soon as I got up and kept the newspaper surround until the tank was very warm. He stayed under his lights for the most of the day until he ran around his tank and then planted himself on the bottom, staring at me. I have to help him up on his basking spot. He has only went out once today for snuggles and cuddles. Kisses. Then back in his tank. That is pretty cold but he should be O.K. Just keep watch of how he's breathing, whether he starts gaping , puffing or coughing. Good to hear that you'll be getting the new heat unit soon !
