Hello Kat,

How is Tazzie doing today, still happy & improving? I hope she is feeling well today. Keep updating us & definitely post more pics when you get a chance to.
That is so awesome you made a little carrying case for her! I can hardly wait to see that. She is so lucky!

Hi everyone! Here are some updated pictures of Tazzie. She still is thin but she is very alert. Her sore on her back is healing.

Here are some pictures taken today. She loves to sleep in either her granola box or her "South Beach Diet" box. I let her choose at night and she chose the South Beach one this evening! LOL!

I'll try and take a picture of her in the little carrying case that I modified for her. She loves to be carried around and cuddled!

Wow, its amazing what a little time and attention and love and the correct care will do. She looks so much better. No longer hovering on death's door. Kudos to you!!

HA! You all make me smile! I thought that you would like to see how her wound is healing. I attached the day one and day 5 pictures. The topical medicine in "Mupirocin Ointment USP 2 %" and she is also receiving antibioics by injection. (once every three days)

I am also including a picture of Tazzie snuggling near my neck. That is her afternoon napping area. :roll: :roll: LOL!

Her snuggling your neck brought tears to my eyes. You can already see the color coming out in her back in the bottom picture. What a super strong little one you have there.

Hi friends,
Yes, Christine, the red dye in her previous tank caused the staining on her hands, chin and belly. Her little vent area is horribly stained and I am hoping that her daily bathing rituals with eventually rid her of the horrid color.

Her tiny little fingers are stained the dark red. I did notice that I am now able to see some tan skin on her chin so I am hopeful that eventually the dye will wear off. I rub her skin gently when she is in the bathtub.

You know what Kat, Tazzie could be green with pink poka-dots, and she'd still be precious and beautiful. I thought that was the dreaded colored sand. UGH!

When she starts putting her weight on, and begins to shed, and with all her baths now, it'll be gone before you know it.

When a beardie has been so neglected and ill, don't you wish you could read their minds when they come to you? Well actually........I think I already read Tazzie's mind in that pic with her tucked in your shirt. :love10I love my mommy) :laughing6:

It is amazing how much better she looks. And so cozy in her "afternoon napping spot." It seems even if we try not to become slaves, it is just inevitable. How can you not when they are so sweet.

Thanks for the info on the name of the ointment. It's the generic for Bactroban which is very good for all sorts of skin issues including impetigo that is quite common with children.

Hello!

Oh Tazzie is looking so much better already. She looks happy now. She has an alive look in her eyes instead of a sad look as she did before.
That ointment is great, it should really help out that wound. How are the injections going for her? Does she seem to mind too much?
