Repti Sun Question

Hi, my Repti Sun 10.0 is placed approx. 6 inches away from my dragons basking spot. Is this to close? He closes his eyes sometimes for about 5 seconds or so every once in a while.

The ReptiSun should be within 6-8" of your beardie, so that is perfect!
Are you also using a bright white basking light?

Yup a 75 watt zoo med basking light

Is your basking light right beside the uvb? The white light from the basking light helps protect their eyes from the uvb.

When you say he is closing his eyes every once in a while....how often is that?

Yes it is right next to the UVB, he closes his eyes every like 10 minutes or so
