I'm gonna make a thread about how freakin cool Reptaid is right now

I merged both threads as all the pluses/minuses regarding this topic should be in one spot, makes it much easier to follow and to respond to.

I don't know if I should contribute this to Reptaid or not, but it hasnt happened since I started him on in. 3 days into treatment, Bob had is first "solid" formed poop in months. I don't think I've ever been this excited about poop.. kinda wierd :notworthy:

Anyways, nothings changed for him except the introduction of Reptaid. He eats the same food, his temps never faulter or differ... I'm starting to have HOPE.

My beardie had bad feces for 3 weeks too until I gave her reptaid. Thanks Elliott.

I just started using the Reptaid XL and the first day Diablo reluctantly licked up the .05 cc off his snout. Today, when I approached the cage with the syringe her perked right up, his eyes dilated and he cocked his head, then greedily licked up the few little drops of Reptaid XL.

Later he ate some baby food and more importantly, he ate two Superworms. He has refused both greens and insect of many types for 2 or 3 weeks now and would only take a few syringes of chicken and squash baby food per day.

I was worried because he slowed down and he is only 11 months old and so I thought maybe too young to really brumate.

I wanted to let you know and I am going to post this on the bearded dragon forum. I will have to keep you updated, it seemed a bit fast, but I am hoping this increase in appetite continues!!! Thanks for your advice and your help!

My friend Ginger said her dragon's appetite is also much better and he gained quite a bit of weight.

Thanks everybody for all the encouraging posts.
We just returned from the Reptile Super Show in Pomona CA. We had a booth there for Reptaid and I have to say the response was overwhelming. Many many people had heard about reptaid and were there to get some. Many were already using it. And we were able to teach people with every species of Reptile (or so it seemed) how to use Reptaid to help their animals recover from many maladies. Just wondering how many forum members we met there without knowing it!

I just purchased a bottle of the Reptaid and the Reptaid XL. I have three "patients" that I will be testing this product on and will report back on how things go. There will not be any other variables changed with these three dragons. Just the introduction of this product.

Well after 10 days, here is what happened on Reptaid XL.

Ash who had slowed way down is eating better and has a better appetite. He ate 6 superworms and some salad yesterday.

Diablo however, responded the first few days and then stopped eating without me hand feeding. I am having to squish the superworms and he will eat them only if I get them in his mouth. He also takes baby food.

Both readily lick the Reptaid XL off a syringe and it seems to make the baby food more palatable to Diablo.

The Vet says no parasites. So just some partial brumation and not to worry.

Well, I jumped on the Reptaid bandwagon today as well. My big guy Mojo just isn't eating as much as I think he should so he got his first dose this morning...I'm crossing my fongers for some fast results....I'll keep ya'll posted on any progess!

so some of you might know and some of you might not.. but yesterday the first day i gave cannoli i gave him about 4x's the dosage i was supposed to... complete accident. well as soon as i realized he didnt want to take it all and he started spazing out, i stopped thats when i knew i screwed up.. i froze and didnt know what to do.. so first thoughts is to post it on here.. so i posted it in both health and er. (didnt know how serious it could be). at first he was like all amped up running around pacing his cage.. after about ten minutes he stopped and was back to the norm.. which relaxed me a little bit. then i had emailed elliot..(extremely helpful in prior to ordering the reptaid) he simply told me to flush some water into him bath him often.. which i was able to do.. 24 hours later which is now i just bathed him fed him some pw's he ate all the baby food mixed with kale i gave him this morning he seems to be back to his own self. ive got a picture or two of him bathing they will be up later tonite. taking today off of the reptaid, will be going back to it tomorrow with the correct dosage.. just seemed so little at first.. silly me. the scariest experience ive had with cannoli in the 14 months weve been together. and without the help of this website i would prob. still be totally beside myself..

Multiple dosage is fine IMO. I gave my beardie 10X dosage for about 2 weeks. And my beardie started to eat better and parasite free.

Did you ever talk this decision over with anyone? IE a Elliot or a vet? As 10x the normal dosage for 2 full weeks seems a bit excessive to me. Hopefully elliot will comment on that. :study: :study: :study:

Well this is the first time I have heard of dosing 10x the recommended amount. And I would say we should not do that, if you are asking for my advice. We exceed the recommended dose by giving the correct dose twice a day. We have never had a problem with that and have recommended that method to lots of people with a very sick dragon or other reptile. It often works well.

I'd just like to post that both of my Beardies have seen an improvement from reptaid. Used to have a bad body odor, poor appetite and runny/smelly feces but now thats basically all going away only after 4 doses so far. So far I'm happy I'm seeing an improvement

My little guy has not ate right since I bought him at about 4.75" Now he is about 5.75" and still only eats a few crickets a day along with some greens. I decided to order some reptaid today in hopes of stimulating feeding. I have tried a variety of feeders...so I hope this works.
