REALLY worried about Dexter... :-(

Dexter has been acting weird over the last few days, with racing around his viv with a dark black beard, BITING ME! (*sob*) and puffing his beard out. Generally looking AND acting severely piffed off.

The ONLY thing that has changed recently is that I have moved from being in my bedroom 24/7 to being downstairs from 06:00 until bedtime. (Simon moved me downstairs when he is downstairs in the day, because of my severe sleep apnea - he was really concerned about me falling asleep when using my craft tools. (craft knife and 310°C heat tool) So instead of seeing me all the time, he only sees me when I occasionally go upstairs to sit with him.

Am I right in presuming that he is upset that he doesn't see me all the time any more, or is there something more sinister afoot?

I am REALLY worried now. Is my baby going to die! :-(

Forgot to add that my stairlift is being fitted next week so I will be regularly up stairs letting him out to exercise and just spending time with him again...

It sounds like I've neglected him, I haven't ,I still go and give him water throughout the day and Simon still feeds him obviously, its just that I'm not in the bedroom 24/7.

I'm betting you'll get more views/answers in a few hours though, once us States troublemakers are home from work and such Good luck with Dexter! I reallyreally hope it's just a bad mood and it passes quickly <3

How old is Dexter? A lot of times when boys hit puberty they can be a bit nasty

He was guesstimated at 3 years old but he's not even half the size of the older beardies they are selling at my local pet store... I just phoned the store and the beardies that I'm talking about, one is 12 months old and the others are round about 2 years old... surely if he's half their size, I'm talking completely, not just width, width AND length, then surely he could well be half their age?

The pet store has actually offered to check Dexter over and give him a rough guess on age too.

I will talk with Simon and see if he's willing to put petrol in the car to get there.
