Poor PeeWee is still shedding..he's such a grump lately. Well not a grump by definition, a grump by his own I guess. He's still super sweet and funny, just not wanting to cuddle or be touched unless he's in the bath. I feel so bad for his itchy body he's getting at least a couple soaks a day. Trust me he's not complaining, he really enjoys sitting under the faucet while the water runs on him :lol: I just adore him. We recently got a new family member, his name is Oswald, and he is a veiled chameleon. I love watching him eat and roam around his habitat! Jeffrey just couldn't live without him. The name Oswald is perfect cause he looks like he has a booboo lip all the time :lol: :lol: When PeeWee finally finishes shedding I will attempt to post some new pics so you can see how big he's gotten now.

Kayleen, tell Pee Wee that we (his sister and her family) wish him a happy belated 11 month Birthday. I wish I could have done it last Saturday on there real birthday but I didn't have internet all weekend.

Lori thank you so much for the birthday wishes.. It's so hard to believe they are all a big 11months already, well almost a year now!!
I was getting so excited because Pee Wee was finally nearing the end of his shed, so I could finally post pics of this beautiful big boy beardie, and wouldn't you know it he's gone straight back in to a full body shed. I guess his body is making up for all those months he didn't shed. He's all cuddled up to me while I type this..he's so adorable and just loves giving kisses. Every time I lean down and kiss his little short snout, even while he's sound asleep, he kisses me right back! The other night I spoiled him big time, I let him sleep in the big bed right next to me. Well wouldn't you know it he thinks he owns that too! I was woken up by a big beardie butt right in my face. He was literally booting me off my own pillow by slowly scooting his butt in my face and hitting me with his tail!! I solved this problem by placing him on one of the pillows we have for show, that wasn't good enough. Eventually I gave in and shared my pillow with him!! Now when he comes in to watch tv with me before night night he makes a mad dash for my pillow and curls up right next to my head!!
Oswald is awesome!! Yes he has seen the rest of the family, his house is in the reptile room along with the rest of the crew. We carefully made certain his humidity would not effect the rest of the room or the other kids houses before we permanently placed him in the room. He's such a funny creature and for whatever reason loves me!! I did not expect much or any interaction with Oswald and never intended to handle him. Well he decided on his own we would be buddies. I think it's because I take care of him, feeding and maintaining his temps and humidity only because Jeffrey doesn't have the time. I walk in the room and Oswald comes right to the front of the cage and I slowly put my hand up to him and he tries to walk on to my hand but the screen is in the way. When I open the cage and slowly put my hand up to him he either sits there with his bright happy green color, or he holds one of my fingers with his hand!! He's got a strong grip!! I talk to him even though chameleons can't hear but I think he understands my actions or something because he has absolutely no fear of me. It's a great feeling. He was scared of Frank and Sunny who are to his right, so I put a barrier up so he can't see them. Chloe and PeeWee don't bother him along with the Uros. And sadly for whatever reason he absolutely hates Jeffrey!! hahaha I think it's funny because Jeffrey just had to have him! He hisses at Jeffrey and lunges at him to bite!! He's never even opened his mouth or puffed at me!! Jeffrey doesn't take it personal even though it is, and he still adores Oswald but leaves him be as not cause him stress! Maybe Oswald will come around more as he grows, but for now he's my buddy!!
Also before I go here's an update on Walter our Savannah Monitor. Just like PeeWee he goes from one shed straight in to the next. I can't believe how big he is now. He's the size of a large cat/small dog!! The vet is impressed with how healthy he is and his liver contains almost no fat!! The bigger he gets the sweeter he gets too. Loves to be scratched and tickled on his back and belly, he loves swimming and playing in the backyard with Jeffrey. We had to upgrade his logs and play toys in his cage because he outgrew his old ones and was becoming very frustrated with not being able to lay under any of them. When we came home with his new toys and logs he was so excited, jumping around like a little doggie. He's been doing a home makeover and construction in his house everyday trying to find the perfect spots for everything. I've got to get video of him moving stuff around. He pushes with his front feet and walks upright on his hind legs just pushing logs around! And when he digs you can't even see in the cage, with dirt flying every where. When the dust settles all you see is Walters eyes he's so dirty!! Oh and Jeffrey is currently teaching him to dive for toys in the bath!!

It's great to hear the update of all your wonderful reptiles. Welcome Oswold! Isn't it funny that he doesn't like Jeffrey (yet) but loves you (why is that not surprising to me? :mrgreen: ). So Mr PeeWee has taken over your pillow? What's next, rolling you out of the bed :lol: He's so funny and it's great he loves kisses and hugs, Barbara sure raises wonderful beardies.

I'm so glad to get an update on Walter, he just fascinates me! I wish I lived closer to not just visit with you and Jeffrey but to meet Walter. We had a tegu once who was just plain mean and I really never warned to her. So it's great to hear about Walter and know that monitors are as lovable as beardies. It would be great to see a video of him re-constructing his new home!

All is well at our end, Titan and Leo are off the to the vet today, Titan because I'm sure he has parasites (I figured he'd need a 2nd bout of meds) and to get weighed as my scale broke; and Leo as he has mouth rot and it's to find out how it's doing after 3 weeks of meds in his mouth. I have to put the meds on his gums with a qtip every am, you can just imagine how well that's received. Luckily I'm stronger than him, but he does go out of his way to prick my hands with his spines, little bum! Otherwise, Didi, Rubio, Gabriel, (bought these two a flat of impatients as they love to eat them!), Lonzo (who's slowing down somewhat, but he is 10 yr old after all). They're all healthy. Didi is still living on the ramp, even though I have a new setup, just haven't taken the time to put it together. He's way too happy to be on the ramp 24/7, if he was allowed. He has to share it in the am, but he's ok with that. Titan is going to stay in Didi's tank and Didi will get the new one, as he'll only be in there to sleep and when he's sharing the ramp in the am, I figured it was easier than sterilizing his old tank. So I have some new furniture for him but a lot of his old stuff, too. And Titan is very comfy in his tank and I want to leave him there. Didi's tank will go on the dining room table, and he'll be able to see Rubio, so will have to see his reaction to know if I have to cover part of tank.
Otherwise, I"im leaving for Quebec on June 10, with my mom, dad and sister, coming back on the 17th. Jake and his mom will be taking care of the boys, which won't be a problem as Jake has been caring for them for 2 years. Just more to do. I haven't been back home for 25 years, so it will be great to see all my cousin's. We're going mainly for a memorial for my Aunt Marion, who passed from a long fight with cancer, she was 84! So it won't be a sad occasion, just a life celebration to a wonderful woman who helped everyone she met. Then we're going to spend a few days in Quebec City with my other aunt, my mom's sister, which will be a lot of fun. I'm hoping my cousin Sheila, who lives in Ottawa, will be visiting, too. It will be nice to get away for a week, even though I'm going to miss my boys so much.

I'm hoping you're feeling ok, Kaleen and that you're getting lots of rest. Any more update on wedding plans? You're going to let us see your dress, right? That would be wonderful. I was hoping to get down to see you, but finances don't allow it. I was able to go to Quebec because my mom paid for my flight on points. Thanks so much for keeping in touch and it was great to get a detailed report of all your babies. I'm posting a pic of Titan I took a few days ago, it's my favourite, hope you don't mind:

That's so awesome that Oswald likes you! I take care of Leon (my Veiled Cham) and he still hates me! He is a little better now than he used to be, but he still has certain days that he goes back to his old grumpy self. I used to have a co-worker that Leon loved, but he doesn't work with me anymore. It's really funny how they just take to certain people. Consider yourself very lucky, it very well could have been the other way around and he could have loved Jeffrey and hated you even though you are the one who fulfills his every want and need. I'm glad to hear Jeffrey is taking it so well, it used to irritate the heck out of me when my co-worker would put his hand in Leon's cage and he would just climb right on him without even a hiss! Like I said he is much better now though, 90 percent of the time he seems to like me. It's just really hard for me to trust him because he has bitten me before and it hurts! I get a little nervous when he climbs up my arm near my face!
Glad to hear PeeWee is doing so well. Can't wait to see pics of him.

Well PeeWee is super excited..His Aunt Michelle is coming to babysit him for a few days while Mom and Dad take a vacation.. We can't thank her enough, she does an amazing job with all the reptiles and they all love her, even Frank, and he doesn't like anyone! PeeWee got super attached to her last time we went away. They definitely bonded, and I am pretty sure he knows her name or seems to know who I'm talking about coming to visit and play with him..silly dragon! Walter really loves Michelle too, he warmed right up to her and she's not timid with him at all. Walter has almost doubled in size the last time she was here so it will be interesting to see her reaction, and if she can lift him to get him out of his enclosure. If not he will be okay to just eat in his house for a few days. I am sure she will take plenty of pictures and post them, so you'll get to see all the babies and the new reptile room in the house. The beardies have their own television too!!
PeeWee is getting even more spoiled which I never thought to be possible. He actually pouts now when he doesn't get to snuggle in the big bed on Mama's pillow, well he thinks it's his pillow and he's sharing with me!! He starts out under the covers all snuggled up to me and when he gets warm he moves up to the pillow and nestles in to my face.. I love waking up to being whipped in the mouth or eye with a fat beardie tail! I try to be fair and rotate every night which beardie gets to sleep next to me in the big bed. Sometimes Frank prefers his cage so PeeWee gets an extra night, but boy does he stare me down when I carry Chloe or Sunny out instead of him..The next morning he won't even look at me, when I feed him breakfast he won't come over to eat until I close the doors and walk away.. Spoiled I tell ya!!

That PeeWee is just too much! He really loves his mommy and knows just how to pull at your heart strings.

Hi Kaleen. It's great that you will be going on vacation and you have someone so dependable that loves them and they love her right back. Sure makes it so much easier to not have to worry so you can just relax and enjoy yourself.

PeeWee sounds so adorable, sounds like he has grown quite a bit and developed quite a personality. It sure is something how they can pout, isn't it? Would love to see a picture of him sometime, we all love looking at his precious face. So cute the way he loves to cuddle with you. His brother Loki sure loves his snuggles too, would snuggle all day and night if he could lol.

It's hard to believe that they are going to be 1 yr old on Tuesday, where did the time go?

Glad that he's claimed his pillow, Kaleen, now it's the battle of who gets the pillow first and I'm sure you love waking up to a beardie tail in your face :lol: He's just so funny!
