Hi Barbara. That's why I named Squirt the way I did because I was hoping she'd be big. She has gotten very stubborn. She and I had a bit of a fight to get her to eat greens this morning.

Oh Kaleen, I am so sorry to hear that you have another health issue to worry about. I truly hope it hadn't gone to the lymph nodes. Healing hugs and prayers to you.

Couldn't believe the size of PeeWee. His brother Loki has gotten very big too, even chunky. What does PeeWee weigh now, any idea?

Thank you I hope I get the best news possible as well. I will know more about the thyroid cancer on August 5th when I have my appointment with the specialist.
I will have to jump over to your thread and check out how big Loki is now, PeeWee is chunky too. I love his little thunder thighs, he also has chubby little cheeks. I realize beardies don't have cheeks, but his face is so chubby he looks like he has squishy cheeks... I don't have a recent weight on Pees, but Michelle is going to come visit when I'm home recovering next week, so I'll ask her to bring her scale so we can weigh Pees!

I have a feeling that PeeWee is quite the character like his daddy. Gus makes me laugh so much his not like any other beardie I have ever had or have.
BTW....I think PeeWee has his build too...those chunky thighs. :love5:

Hello all, just giving an update.. My surgery yesterday went well..I got to come home and spend the night in my own bed. I am so happy to be recovering at home with all my babies to comfort me! PeeWee was so upset yesterday because I usually feed him in the morning and let him snuggle with me and Sunny while he warms up. Well I didn't get home from the hospital till about 2pm and he was pacing in his cage. Jeffrey put me right to bed when we got home and then a few hours later he had to wake me up so Pees could see I was ok. He literally jumped out of Jeffrey's hands and on to me in bed and snuggled right up to me.. As soon as he saw I was ok he calmed down. And since Pees got to see me then Jeffrey had to bring in Frank, Sunny, and Chloe too!! Today I'm taking it easy snuggling with all my babies..even Walter came in to bed to snuggle for a bit. I am so lucky to have all the love I do, it makes times like this bearable. So Monday is the big day, my appointment is in the late afternoon so that night I'll post on what's going on with the thyroid cancer. Again thank you for all the support and prayers, it means so much to me. Oh Jeffrey and I created a facebook page for Walter, he has a lot of fans, so we thought it would be a neat way for everyone to see his adventures. The page is called Walter the Savannah Monitor.

Hi Kaleen, glad the surgery went well & hopefully the tests all come out good for you. You know you're in my thoughts and prayers constantly, and I'm glad PeeWee was so upset that his mom wasn't home, he's so attached to you! It's wonderful to hear. There's nothing more healing that a good man's love and your pets love, too :love5:

So I have big news, I'M A GRANDMA, my grandson was born at 10:30a today, he's 8lbs 4oz and 20" long. I spent the whole day at the hospital (after I went to work to switch my shift to next Saturday, so got there at 3p) and was told to leave by the head nurse at 9p, I didn't even realize that visiting hours were done by 8p, honest :lol: My d-I-l Tara had to have a caesarean, so she was in a lot of pain & getting morphine shots, so couldn't hold him much, so I got to hold him almost all day. The only time I didn't was when Tara's mom, dad and grandma came to visit. Eric, my son, took a ton of pics of all of us holding him. His name is Leo Duke Stevens! And his sign is Leo so that fits. My b-I-l's grandson is also named Leo, so he was tickled pink to hear that. And now, being as it's a long weekend up here and I have Tues off (that was the maybe date for the ceasarian) I'm off work now until Wednesday, so I told them to take advantage of me & they are, love it!!! I go back tomorrow afternoon again to stay as long as they want me. I just loved holding him, he's so cute. And he's got huge feet, I measured and they're over 2" long, just like his dad's :lol:

I'll be looking forward to the update on Monday, hopefully only great news, k? Take care,

Great news that your surgery went well! I nearly cried when you said "He literally jumped out of Jeffrey's hands and on to me in bed and snuggled right up to me.. As soon as he saw I was ok he calmed down." PeeWee is such a sweetheart, so in-tuned to you.

Good luck with your appointment on Monday. Hope you'll get good news from that as well.

Congratulations Deb!! How exciting for you and your family, a new baby. I can't wait to see some pictures, and hear all about him. I love that you measured his feet, that is so adorable! I bet he just loves his grammy!!
Well Gina I got teary eyed when I saw how happy PeeWee was to see me. He and Sunny are the beardies that follow me around and get visibly upset when they can't be with me for a majority of the day. PeeWee is so intune with me, he knows when it's playtime and when Mama just needs snuggles and rest. When I came home from my biopsy yesterday he just kept giving me kisses on my nose and staying super close to me. He gave Jeffrey a big black beard when he came to get him so I could sleep, it was so funny!!
Unfortunately I do not have any news yet.. As soon as the biopsy comes back I will post an update about that. My blood work came back to show I have Hashimotos thyroiditis and hypothyroidism so we have started treatment for that. Now we wait to hear if it's cancer too. I'm just so exhausted, so I'm going to lay down now. I will let you know as soon as I do.

Well yuck, sorry to hear about your thyroid, so many auto-immune diseased that can attack you, hopefully no cancer & can be treated easily. Please let us know as soon as the results come in.

That is so cute that PeeWee was giving you nose kisses and that he black bearded Jeffrey :mrgreen: when he wanted to get you into bed. He has such a personality, that dragon, and is so much a Mama's boy, but don't you just love it? It's amazing how sensitive our dragons can be to us not feeling well, so I'm glad PeeWee and Sunny show such love to you when you get home.

And yes I'm a grandma, here's a pic of me and Leo on his first day & another pic of him a few days later. I haven't seen him since the day after he was born (not sure what's up with that, I just live 15 min away, but we won't go there), but I do check his Mom's facebook and copy off the pics. I got some printed & took them to work, so have about 7 that I can look at all day, in between calls that is!

Titan is getting bigger all the time, he's now a year old I figure, he's 18 1/2" long now, I'll have to check if he's grown again and he must be over 500g:


So get as much rest as you can and tell PeeWee to take good care of you!

OMG DEB he is soooo handsome!! Oh I would stare at him all day long too if he was my grandson! The pride in your face in the picture of you holding him is awesome. I am just so happy for you, words can not fully express the joy I have for you. Titan does look great, I don't know if I've said so yet but I love your new sig. All the boys look fabulous.
Gina I often ask myself that question, why me?! I don't have an answer except this is the hand I was dealt and I have to push forward no matter the outcome. I am lucky I have a good man and loving family to support me through all of this crap!! PeeWee is one of the best little beardies in the world. It's hard to be fair and give all the others equal time...
