I'm so happy to hear you are home and all went well. :D

Yes, he's a little escape artist that's why I loved your choice of viv's.

Hopefully everyone joins us in tracking his short journey and welcoming him home!
I was so happy that they were not busy an I could take the opportunity to ask some questions...
Well about his trip being a short one??? NOT!!!
My main question was what route would PeeWee be taking in this journey to Arizona? I am so glad that I asked or there would be a heck of a lot of people stressing out and worried later...mainly myself!
PeeWee is in for one big travel tonight actually. He will go from Fresno to the main hub in California which is in Oakland. From Oakland he goes to the main hub for the US which is Memphis TN then back to Arizona. So no body needs to freak out when they see Memphis when tracking later. The gentlemen reassured me that I need not worry he would still arrive on time to Arizona. :)

Wow I am so glad you asked, cause I would have totally freaked out when I saw Memphis, TN on the tracking page. Did they explain why they need to take him all they way to Memphis when he just has to go one state over?! How was PeeWee when he went in to the box, you think he'll be ok? Oh tomorrow can't come fast enough!!!!! I won't sleep at all tonight I just know it. Everyone pray little PeeWee has a safe uneventful journey home..

Kaleen I would have been right there with you freakin' out had I not had thought to ask. From what they said is all packages shipped from here that are not going to a state that is bordered by the Pacific ocean...like Cali, Oregon, or Washington have to go through their main hub in Memphis. I think it's odd too being his destination is only one state away. They still say he should arrive at the 10:30am ish time.

I am happy to say I tucked him into the little plastic container with his widdle blankie and he fell fast asleep....aww sweet baby! :love5:
He was asleep before I even placed the container into the box. I was still crying and he was already sleeping.
I won't lie I miss him already, but I am so happy he's getting a home where he can get lots of love and attention.

Aww Barbara, I am sorry parting with him so difficult. I promise you we will take the best care of him and he'll be sooo loved, he has been since the day I laid eyes on him. We will post pictures everyday and send as many videos as we can. If you happen to be in Arizona for any reason you and Frank are more than welcome to come stay and visit with your PeeWee! I hope he looks more like his Daddy, only because Gus is quite the beardie! Tomorrow can't come fast enough. I have his fav greens, and we got crickets for him, so everything is ready to go. I have little dubia nymphs for him to try too. I am not allowed to do anything for the next 48hrs, so Jeffrey gets to do all the fun stuff when he arrives in the morning. I'll watch, but I really wanted to be the one to be the person to bathe him and the first to take him out of the container. Oh well...stupid surgery ruins everything :( Come Wednesday, he's all mine!! I don't know if tracking him makes the wait worse or easier... I don't know...

Kaleen, I am so happy for you that PeeWee will soon be a part of your family. Hope his unnecessary trip across the country & back will be a smooth one and that he'll be bouncing with joy to finally be home.
Unfortunately, I may not be able to join in the tracking party tomorrow AM. Work wasn't very kind to me today and tomorrow's not looking too promising, so I won't have the extra time. I'll try to check in here as soon as I can.

No worries Gina, you take care of you and get plenty of rest. Like I said I will have plenty of coverage to document his homecoming, and when you're able you can see all the pictures and possibly video. Thank you for the well wishes and I'll talk to you soon. Hope your crew is doing well, I always love checking out your thread.

Hi Kaleen, I'm glad to hear that the surgery went well and you got to rest for a while. Bet tomorrow can't come soon enough for you. PeeWee will be fine, it sure is good that Barb asked about his route of travel so that no-one got worried about the direction he was headed. Tracking them is nerve wracking but also pretty neat. I have had 3 beardies shipped and tracked quite a few with others. Barb gets so attached to each and every one of them and it almost brings me to tears every time she packs one up because I know how hard it is on her. He will probably sleep just about the whole time and will be all rested when you open that little box. :D That is such a sight, lifting the top off and to see the little one looking back at you. So, I'm here too for a while.

Thank you, I appreciate all the company! I haven't looked over at the tracking yet, I know myself I'll be checking every 5 minutes. I'll probably start checking in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. Right now I am focusing on all my temps and humidity, getting all the greens washed and put in a bin, well I am delegating that to Jeffrey since I am not to do anything for 48hrs. I keep moving things around inside his home, like where I want his hammock and blankie, and where I want his dishes to go. I'll see how he does the first day with a water dish, but I plan on giving daily baths like I do Chloe any how. If he's not interested in the water dish I'm going to take it out. I love his stuffy the spider!! My boyfriend actually picked it out in the store, I really wanted the little kitty, but he just had to have the spider. Since I picked out everything else for PeeWee he should get a say in something hahaha! I got the big necessities for him but there's a whole plethora of accessories I will have to add to his house over time, once I know his personality some more.

Hey!
Just thought I would check in to see how things are going. I'm very glad to hear your surgery went well. I have to work in the morning but I will check in after work to see how far PeeWee has made it. How exciting :D

Well, looks like PeeWee has left the FedEx facility on his way to the airport.

Finally he's on his way! OMFG this is gonna be one looong night. I feel like I shipped off one of my kids. :(
I know everyone thinks my beardies and babies are spoiled, but PeeWee is more spoiled than most.
It felt so weird not to tuck him in tonight. :(

Kaleen, Frank asked earlier when we were going to drop PeeWee off how can a human become so attached to such a small beardie in such a short time??? I was thinking easy I do it all the time....
See this is the first year that he's been home and experienced the full effect with me. I think I might have even seen a tear in his eye. I told him that he'd better be grateful that you gave PeeWee a forever home or he'd have to be figuring out where we would put another viv. :laughing6: So we thank-you and Jeffrey as I really do not have room for anymore resident beardies....but darn he's so freakin' cute.
I'm sure he's snug and cozy sound asleep...give him lots of snuggles right off the bat when he gets there. He will adjust quicker that way.

Yup I just checked and it says he's in transit left FedEx origin facility Clovis, California. Go PeeWee go!!! hahaha
One thing I read was that his estimated delivery time is 12:00noon, but the FedEx place told Barbara 10:30amish and I know Sunny was delivered by 10:30am too when Tom shipped her. I hope he gets here waaaaay before noon! I have the tracking page up and all I have to do is hit the refresh button. I'm sooo excited, and I just can't hide it!!

Oh, an I do have one special request...I would love to see a video of him with his first roach. That is if you could swing it.

Ignore the estimated time...if I remember Diane's/Josh's boy said 4pm...yet he was there just a few minutes past 10:30.

Aww Barbara I mean it you and Frank are more than welcome to come visit PeeWee anytime. If we take a trip to California we will have to bring PeeWee along so you can give him kisses and hugs. I promise to take a thousand pictures tomorrow morning, and as many a day as possible. His temps are perfect in his house, and he has plenty of yummies waiting for him. I'm going to bathe him everyday too. I am a snuggler I'm not one for letting them settle without handling them. PeeWee will have hugs, kisses and playtime several times a day! His enclosure is positioned right where I can see him and he can see me from anywhere in the tv room. He'll never be alone as there is always someone home at all hours.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
