Pneumonia?! Oh no! Poor Yoshi. At least now you have a definitive diagnosis and no more guessing.
I hope the meds will kick the pneumonia out of his little body soon.
Give him big hugs for me.

Oh gee, poor Yoshi. It's good that you started him on the med before you even had the diagnosis. Hope he starts improving real soon, he sure has a good mom that takes great care of him. Please keep us updated on him, ok?

Hello,

Sorry to hear that Yoshi has pneumonia! I hope he gets better soon. It looks like you have everything under control though, no problem.
Sometimes they hide illnesses for a long time, so it is possible that he has been having some trouble for awhile & he was not showing it. Pneumonia is something that takes quite awhile to fully develop. Had you noticed any breathing problems at all beforehand, or any other strange behavior at all?

Awww, poor Yoshi. :(

If your vet can give you Critical Care then you could stop feeding him the baby food and give him this instead. It's better for him then the baby food and is loaded with vital nutrients, as the name implies.
Is he on a probiotic? Antibiotics really messes with their tummies.

My beardie is almost 3. Her beard ALWAYS turns black...she does the head bopping and she even does push-ups. I previously worked in a vet office so i keep in touch with the reptile specialist there. He's very good. He said the black beard and head bopping AND push-ups are normal. The black beard means they have reached puberty and are starting to get "excited." The head bopping and push ups are a form of communication. Possibloy to attract a mate....or something along those lines. I have 2 cats and they play with my beardie. Whenever they come towards her...she has recently begun to get a black bear all of a sudden, she will bob her head like crazy, then take off running like a maniac. It worried me at first but apparently its normal. I dont know any other beardie owners so i can only go off of what my vet says. But she just laid eggs for the first time this weekend and is sick now. Maybe yours is a female about to lay eggs too? Who knows...good luck. If you have questions, let me know.

Yoshi is NOT female and his black beard is not normal for him, hes 3 yrs old and never gets blackbeard, he head bobs alot tho but im not worried bout that, its fact hes throwing everything up! and acting/looking like he feels misearable!

Hi
I am sorry Yoshi still isnt feeling well.I do think critcal care or carnivore care may be a good idea. Its a vet prescibed food that would take over for the babyfood and is better for him.As for the throwing up maybe he is getting to much soy yogurt. He has been on it for quite some time and maybe a break from that is in order.I would stop that give him a few days without it and see if that helps.

Hello,

I agree. Sometimes the soy yogurt does not sit well in their tummies. All dragons are different & have a slightly different reaction to a product.
If you maybe want to try acidophiliz that is a more commonly used probiotic & it might sit better in his little belly.
The Critical Care is a great formula. The vet should have that readily, or should be able to get it pretty easily.
I hope Yoshi is feeling better soon.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry. Its not your fault you did everything you could to try and get Yoshi better unfortunately as we know beardies are fantastic at masking illness and sometimes its just too late.I am really shocked I really thought he would pull through.Again I am so very sorry.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
