If MoMo has more eggs after laying 38, then I'm going to die from shock, but not before signing her up with Guinness Book of World Records for being the craziest egg making machine. I think she was just feeling "down" and wanted to hide from the world.

That's alot of eggs for her to push out, so much work. She'll feel better as you feed her and maybe take the two of them out and cuddle them together when you're home again. That always helped Sweetie, warm bath and long cuddle, seemed to help give her appetite back and get back on her feet after laying. Hugs to you both!

Unfortunately, I only saw Digi for a whole 20 minutes this morning, when she popped her head out of her cave to say good morning. Since then, she'd been deep inside her cave and only a portion of her tail is showing in the entrance. At least I got to wish her a happy birthday.

MoMo had been doing well. She's back to her normal self and eating like a champ. Still need to get her weight up though. She even got to sit in front of the living room window with Gianna yesterday, with no incident.

Holy cow! MoMo just pooped out 2 eggs! One was the same size as the others she'd been laying, but the other was twice as big.

What in the world is wrong with this girl!

I just met the most adorable green cheek conure at PetSmart! After MoMo and I said our hellos with the baby beardies, we made our way over to the bird aisle, but before we even got there, I saw this baby green cheek jump down from his perch and hopped over to the front of the glass. It stood there waiting for our arrival (how do I know this? because there were no one else around at the time). I "petted" the baby with my index finger and the more I did, the more it wanted to be petted for real, so much so that it began rolling onto its back and waited for belly rubs. When it realized that I wasn't rubbing its belly, it would stand up and lean on the glass where my finger was. I must have played with it for over a half hour, until all of the hopping and rolling brought on an appetite and it began eating. That was when I said goodbye.
Oh how I wish I could have another green cheek conure.

Aww, so cute, for a minute I didn't know what it was, but googled it and oh so cute! Can't you have a bird at home? It really loved you!

I'm glad MoMo is feeling better but enough with the eggs, girl. She's turning into a real egg machine, and to have one double the regular size, that would be huge :shock: Her eggs are big enough without being twice the size. So hopefully that's it for her this year. Oh my, wonder what's bringing on all the egg laying. Glad she's eating & getting her weight back up.

I think I know -- it's Squirt. Whenever she's out of her house, she'd always run over to Squirt and just sit in front of his house, driving him bonkers. This last time, she actually turned herself around and showed her back side to him. That was when I knew that she had eggs in her again and brought her outside that afternoon, where she laid 38 eggs.
