does anyone know what the pythagorean theorem or the golden ratio are? sadly, i figured out fibonacci easily enough, but still...

Tania, you have to pointless and sadly hang in there!!! Spring will be here before you know it, although at times these next few months may seem to ddddrrrrrraaaaaaagggggggg on... but soon you'll be able to look back and say, wow, where did the time go?!? hahahaha

Xena's surgery went as well as can be expected... I have an ER thread going for her if you want to see all the updates. It's going to be a long road to full recovery. She's being a stinker about eating, which is essential to survival and healing. We're calling her our little pillow princess right now. (she's on a pillow to help cushion her belly stitches)

lol, cheers on that, I am eagerly anticipating Spring (especially since this year is supposed to be a record snowfall), but yeah, I will sort of miss it.
Glad to hear that Xena's at least on the road to recovery! Love the dragon pillow idea, Kana is starting to go into her brumination cycle on top of her stuffed animal. I'll stop over at the ER thread, otherwise good luck with getting her to eat. I know that cooking it makes it lose a lot of nutrients, but the first way I got Kana eating was with cooked squash, she couldn't get enough of it!

And pythagorean theorem = :love5: I was a big math geek back in high school, wait until you get to the wonders of Calculus and chaos theory, that's the best stuff!

if I remember right, pythagorean theorem is a^2 + b^2 = c^2, where a, b, and c are all sides of a triangle, and c is the longest side.
Very, very useful, especially once you get into Trigonometry and Calculus.

BeardyDragon just had a blonde moment, even tho she's a brunette! :shock: I scared my mom, she couldn't help me with my math after 7th grade... I ran out of math classes in high school (took them all) and had to attend the U of Akron during my sr. year to get more math. Didn't need it, just couldn't imagine life without it. See? I AM such a geek still. (haa haa BeardyDragon, that makes you a double geek!!!)

YAY! I haven't had a math class since senior year of high school, which was 5 years ago :shock: I originally intended to major in math ed, but ended up following through with the English/music path, and just added in the wonders of web design (mostly art focuses ) but I still remember math fondly!

I am quite fond of the nitrogen cycle, we have to have it happily memorized at work.
As for my username, "Roland" is actually an old German title something along the lines of semi-nobility, and Kyramere is the name of one of my characters.

I was rather fond of photosynthesis in school. I still have my chart from school. I always tried to talk my biology teacher into ordering me a set of those molecule tinker toy thingies so I can make my own molecules whenever I wanted. She ordered us some pets, I forget the name, but it was a single cell organism that looked like a big piece of snot and ate oatmeal. But they got lost in the mail and died. It was very sad. that would have been kinda fun having a living piece of snot as a pet. They could move around, and crawl around and stuff. Just imagine the pranks I could have pulled with one of those.

Pointlessly speaking of schoolwork, I just got done with an awesome class of... GOING OUTSIDE. It was pointlessly awesome, seeing as how I have to spend the rest of the day indoors due to working and homeworking.

characters... do you draw anime too? tomorrow the 7th grade is going on a field trip to the metro parks, and then on friday off to the zoo... we are calling it Terra Vista... and we have to do manual labor and remove some parts of an invasive species... all of you who have CNN, our school is going to be followed, and i think its only the seventh grade thats getting followed, and their gonna be videotaping our entire experience there and theyre gonna follow some "chosen ones", haha to see what its like in a day at this school, and this is a person who will hit up random people for interviews in the halls... i cant wait
