i dont see why petting would be a problem. i think unless he looks like he is uncomfortable, or trys to run away then you should probably stop. other than that i think its fine
i think they like it. if i stop petting ayame she will climb up to my chin and nudge it with her head till i pet her again..that is unless she has fallen asleep.
Loki flattens out like a pancake and then tries to run away if i pet her back, but loves her chin scratches! I can put her to sleep with them! :sleepy2:
Apollo likes to be rubbed around his face. Especially when shedding. He'll push his face against my fingers as I rub.
I too believe that beardie's can read your mood. Trust is a big issue as well. Apollo get a little defensive when it comes to strangers petting him.
I think they like be touched. If they didn't, they'd scoot away in protest. If they just tolerate it....tough...too bad....petting him makes me happy.
