Basking or...?

I greeted Frank this morning as I prepared to clean his enclosure, and to my surprise, he had his mouth open, but not quite like when he basks. He recently got a new bulb and his overall temps are a couple (1-4) degrees warmer than they were... But I'm worried about an RI or something anyway. I live in San Antonio and the humidity is just outrageous constantly.

Of course it's Friday, and the weekend approaches, with all the issues of vet availability. I'm waiting for a callback, and I'm sure they will eventually return my call, but I am impatient. Should I just show up and make A Scene? I know, I know, probably not... But

Other than this, Frank has been eating and pooping and scuttling around, business as usual. He remains very active, per protocol. He closed his mouth today when he saw me gawking at him, but I was able to get a pic, and he's since opened it again, in the same manner.

I have some pics if anyone would be kind enough to weigh in.

Looks fine to me Typical basking behavior. They open their mouth more or less for that.

They open their mouth for various reasons.
If he has an RI you would probably see him breathing very heavy and/or he'd show some discharge.

Frank looks huge btw. I remember how small he was when you brought him home

That's pretty normal, my guy does it all the time. Like Chris said there would likely be discharge, heavy breathing, lethargy ect.

Well I went in with a video of Frank and his open mouth, haha. They said he does not look ill or distressed but that they'd be happy to make a regular appointment if I liked. Frank actually hasn't had a visit yet, and I think it's probably time for that anyway. Next week he can make his debut, haha.

Being in there again after Lenny was quite a bit more difficult than I expected, and I was anticipating it to be bad. I'm lucky to have an absolutey incredible herp here in SA, but man... I wish I never had to go in there again.
