Webcam shots of Papaya and Pineapple. 108g and 18g last night.

Going away for 4 days for Thanksgiving. Plenty of dubias for them to munch on. The dubias have Repashy Superload and chunks of acorn squash (water and veggie for beardies when they eat the dubias).

I tested this before with Papaya when I went away for 4 days last month. There were left over dubias when I came home. She grew so much in the 4 days I almost didn't recognize her. Last time my mom was home to clean the poop though. This time it's going to be messy because they are truly alone. They both like to poop in the dubia dishes, too...

PapayaCam. She got 50 1" dubias.

PineappleCam. He got like 150 small dubias. He was already munching up some in this shot

Your dragons are so pretty! I hope things continue to go well with them :D

Thank you! :)

I forgot to do an update how they did while I was away for 4 days.

Out of the 50 one inch dubias, Papaya ate 25 of them. All the dubias were still alive.

Out of the 150 small dubia nymphs, Pineapple ate most of them. The rest died from dehydration. Pineapple was fine and actually gained a few grams. When I go away for Christmas, I'll need to put in more acorn squash chunks for the dubias.

It took me an hour to clean the tanks and bath the 2 babies though. They made quite a mess with shed skin everywhere. Papaya only pooped in the dubia dishes. Pineapple did most of his pooping in a pile next to his dubia dish.

I really can't see how people are keeping their beardies in sand. They make such a mess with all the sheds, veggies, and poop. I have to take the shelf liners out to wash almost daily. I rarely have to clean my leopard geckos' tanks. All I ever have to do is cleaning their litter boxes.

If you secure them in your hand and hold their heads at the jaw... Not tightly tho... You can open their mouths by pulling down on their beards. My vet showed me that with my last baby... I had to syringe feedher like that fir weeks when she had mbd. Ive done it to Darla too. They dont like it but it doesnt hurt them. I akso shimmy the syringe between her lips on the side of her mouth... She doesnt always open up but if i squirt a little at a time in her cheek she wil drink it that way as well. She likes how it tastes.

Did pineapple shed? Hows the coloring looking?

They are both done with shedding. Actually, this is the first time Papaya has no shed at all. Check out that belly... Is she too fat??

Pineapple glass dancing. He glass dances a lot and all day. He doesn't have stress marks anymore unless he sees Papaya.

Pineapple after a bath. He's turned more yellow after last shed.

Pineapple's full body shot. He's 28g today. He has doubled his weight in 2 weeks.

Papaya is not a little girl anymore. She weighs 136g today.

Size comparison. Papaya is 5 months and 2 days old. Pineapple at 2 months and 12 days old.

Papaya is getting so big! I love her chubby little belly! And pineapple is just too cute for words to describe the cuteness. Your doing an awesome job with both of them.

I think Pineapple is the only baby I've seen with ZERO stress marks on his belly. AMAZING!

And Ms Papaya is filling out so nicely - she's going to be absolutely stunning when she's full-grown!

Thanks! Pineapple has some stress marks when I bath him. He also gives me half squinting eyes and looks like he's saying "I hate you.." LOL

His stress marks get really dark when he sees Papaya.

Papaya, on the other hand, rarely has any stress marks. They are orange when she has some.

Papaya isn't a silkie. She's a leatherback. She does have some scales on her back, but they are very short. Silkies look like burnt victims, as another member put it, with no scales at all.

LOL @ "burn victims" - not that burn victims are a laughing matter, but its a really accurate description. I am not a fan of Silkbacks. I'm sure they are just as sweet as the next dragon, but I can't help but feel bad for them missing that protective layer of spikes.

Papaya is SO beautiful! I just love her coloring, she's going to look absolutely incredible full-grown :D
Pineapple is just precious, and so small compared to Papaya! It's amazing how big of a difference 3 months makes. I can't wait to see how his colors turn out as he sheds :)

Papaya is now 206 grams at 5 months and 24 days old. I ran out of dubias for 1 day. So I only gave her a salad of dandelion greens, cilantro, and acorn squash this morning. She ate the whole thing! It's the first time she ever finished all the salad instead of pooping on it! From now on, she'll get just a salad in the morning and dubias at night. 8)

Pineapple is 59 grams at 3 months and 4 days old. He has grown faster than Papaya when she was at his age, but he doesn't eat much. He snacks on the dubias through out the day instead of eating all at once like Papaya. He shed a few days ago and is turning more yellow, but it's hard to see in this picture because of the angle.

He moved from his 20 gallon tank to his new 36" x 18" x 18" Exo Terra tank this week!! He looks so tiny in it.

Pineapple is still somewhat skittish. He's fine once he's on me, but he always runs away while I try to pick him up. I moved him to the top level so his basking spot is now only 2 feet away me when I'm at my computer desk. Hopefully, this will help him become more comfortable with me. Although it doesn't help that every time I pick him up, it's for a bath.. He hates baths! The tanks are dark because the lights just went off.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
