Day 4 for Pineapple. He was 14 grams on Thursday. He's 16 grams now. Here's the pedigree sheet from Fire and Ice Dragons.
LESSONS LEARNED:
1) I will never again buy a baby before it hatches. I was stupid. I feel lucky I got a yellow baby at all. Poor Scrammy got an orange baby! :? viewtopic.php?f=49&t=176958&p=1443245#p1443245 Darla is pretty, but Scrammy paid for yellow.. not orange. There are plenty of other breeders out there who are much nicer and sell brighter babies at half the price.
2) I would never again buy a reptile from a breeder who will not send pictures on request because the baby is in shed. LOL... really? Babies are always in shed! Her reason for only taking one picture for each baby is that there are people out there who steal her pictures. Why?? Other breeders' babies, especially from the breeders on Facebook, are so much prettier. I don't think you need to worry anyone would steal these pictures..... Plus, they aren't "your" babies. These customers already paid for them!
3) Nor would I ever again buy from a pushy breeder who has repeatedly told me (and still is!) that I would fail because I don't follow her "shopping list" or her "care sheet". There is more than one way to raise a baby bearded dragon! I think it's been proven that dubias are good for bearded dragons... And since when did acorn squash become bad for babies? And I'm going to stick with Repashy, thanks.
4) I would never again commit to pay without reading the return policy first and will only buy from breeders who do full refunds. Again, stupid me.
5) Last but not least, read reviews before you commit to pay!! I'm normally very good about this when I buy electronics or even pet food, but I was so excited about getting a beardie that I didn't research thoroughly first. I'm not the only one who has had bad experiences with this breeder. This breeder has several negative reviews out there, and I know of 3 other customers who didn't write reviews but also have had a bad experience. For the amount of money we paid, we should be treated a lot better than we have been.
Consider this yet another negative review on Fire and Ice Dragons. It's a negative review not because I didn't do enough research before I paid, but because of the poor customer service I have been receiving after I paid. Scrammy was so stressed out because the breeder kept telling her the baby was going to die and that Scrammy was abusing "her" baby when she needed help the most. Customers shouldn't have to feel like they are walking on eggshells when they are talking to a breeder, especially when they need help. Fortunately, I have done extensive research on how to take care of bearded dragon babies on my own that I didn't need any advice, and I simply ignore comments like "Just a heads up, if anything is not according to the shopping list and care sheet, they stop eating on Day 3."
You have been warned.

Back to happy thoughts.
Here's a close up picture of Pineapple.
He's very active and runs around the tank a lot. He just sits and chills when I hold him. His leatherback is very smooth!
Pineapple saying "Let me out!!".
Just chilling after pooping in the dubia dish... I think I have lucked out on my reptiles. It's as if they know I'm OCD. Both of my leopard geckos only poop in their litter boxes. Papaya has been pooping in her veggie dish or dubia dish only since the first week. Now Pineapple has been pooping in his dubia dish only the past 2 days. This makes cleaning soooo easy! Check out the dubias in the picture. They're like.. ewww! Poop! and ran away to the other corner.. LOL
