Pablo --- 1-1-12

Well I suppose its finally time to break down and make Pablo his own thread. He's going on three years old now and seems to be doing well. He was purchased from a local petstore, brothers pets, who would purchase quantities from breeders at reptile shows and then sell them at their store. I didnt catch on to this until going there one day after they were at a show and saw half of the stuff at their store afterwards. As far as which breeder he came from, I have no idea, nor really care as his health was my only concern. He was actually my boyfriends at the time, and I ended up rescuing him after going back to our old apartment to clean before our lease was up (i had moved out a few months prior) and found him in there with a red light on and no food/water. I was going to get him going again and them rehome him, but you know how that goes.... Anyways, here he is today.
Pretty lazy... I pulled his blanket off him, and found him like this an hour later still in bed! His half log is there to serve as a "ramp" so he can easily get on/off his bed

Here is his second bath, he pooed in his first one, so I always clean it out and give him another

Heres his wonderful breakfast, I swear he eats better than me...

I must say I love that bed you have for him. It always makes me happy when I see that kind of stuff in their tanks because It really shows how much the owner cares for the dragon IMO.
That is a tasty looking Salad he is getting there

Oh yeah, I try to spoil them all the best I can He has a tunnel for winter time as well, the inside is fleece. Only bad thing about it is it cant be washed, so I only put it in around winter time when he actually uses it. Plus you can only fit so much in their tanks, thats why he doesnt have a stuffed animal, ran outta room!

I see you have a uromastyx, I just love those guys! I hope to get one someday, but I dont have enough time at the moment to properly spend on any more animals. Down the road though that will be on the top of my list!

I bet he can't wait for winter time so he gets to spend time in his tunnel of fleece haha. Sounds comfy.

oh, i'm not either! Another member on here gave me her instructions and I just basically hotglued it all together. I just used a drill once and that was to make it a little more sturdy but wasnt a necessity. It took me like 20 minutes, super quick and easy.

I've been living in denial. I came to the realization that Pablo does need to loose weight.. and it took this view of his belly to decide that.
LOOK AT THAT!

Well, I skipped the supers at Petco and stocked up on crickets. Also got Pablo some sweet Halloween decals for his tank! Can't wait till its closer to time so I can finally put these puppies up! I like to put up decals for all the different holidays!

Well, finally got that darn DIY platform done, and luckily I think Pablo might actually like it! Here are some pictures from today!

The rock finally all done....

Pablo not wanting to get out of bed this morning. He wasn't happy when I had to move him to his screen cage so I could clean his, and put in the new platform. He was actually in there or on my shoulder good part of the morning while I worked on getting temps right in his tank with the height of the platform.

Finally in the tank!

I put him on the bottom step and he climbed up a few to here...

I then set him up here....

He didn't look to sure up there, so I tried to put him at the bottom to explore and he started going right back up the steps...

I added his blanket under the platform, thinking it would be more comfy for him if he decided to sleep there (hes been starting to go down for brumination)... He took the hint, this is were I found him a few hours later...

THE BED.

Cutest thing in the world. His entire house is great! Pablo is so precious, and looks like a highly spoiled dragon. Us slaves will do anything for a sweet little dragon.
