So Zsa Zsa just completed a full body shed a few days ago and is headed into another already.
But look WHAT SHOWED UP after her last shed.
She now has TIGER STRIPES!!!!!!
If they turn blue when she gets warm I may pass out lol.
That makes her genetics hypo, trans, het zero, tangerine citrus, tiger/blue bar tiger.

Me to!!!!!
I haven't seen her pancake much yet, she is still pretty hyper and don't sit still to much.

Pretty!
It's always a surprise with them shedding when being small. I like the closeup showing off the black eyes.
It gives IMHO a completely different look than with the "standard" brown eyes.

(Was wondering: Despite these special genetics, do bearded dragons also have a variety of eye colors? Mine has honey-colored eyes, but do some e.g. also have red brown, dark brown... eyes? Like human eyes, despite we say these are maybe four colors "blue, green, brown, black" or five including "grey" come in many shades of that and the "brown" of one person's eye can be very different from the "brown" of another person?)

My guy also has the tiger stripes. The person we got him from didn't tell us anything about him. He did call him a citrus though. Not sure what that means other than his color. Anyone have any ideas? He's a bright orange color and has grey/blue tiger stripes. Not sure if all beardies have bands on their tails, but my guy also has some of those. He also has black eyes.

Mine has very obvious bands in his tail, purple stripes (maybe for the "morph experts" they are far away from tiger stripes, i don't know), honey-brown eyes and is "standard".
(They sell morphs, once saw red ones but don't recall which morph that was, but no idea what is really their "standard".)

Yes, there is a variety of eye colors, when I go back downstairs I'll get a picture of Ruby's eyes and post it.

Was this a surprise for you? I think that after each molt the stripes will only get stronger.

Citrus is a color profile colors are not the same as morphs.
The black eyes Is however a morph. It's translucent or trans for short. Morphs are genetic mutations. Translucent is a pigment mutation so is hypo (hypomelanistic) trans is a huge reduction in white pigment, hence the black eyes, hypo is a reduction in dark pigment hence clear nails. Dunner and leatherback are scale mutations, zero, wero, and witblits are pattern mutations. Genetic mutations can be reproduced reliably. They are either het (heterozygous) or (homo) homozygous. Het requires a copy of the mutation from both parents to be displayed visibly, and are called recessive genes. Homo only requires a copy from one parent to be displayed and is called a dominant gene. Hypo, trans, zero, wero, and witblits are all recessive. Dunner, leatherback, and gentic stripe are all dominant.
Colors work completely differently. Color is more like melting some crayons and then swirling them together. You have a pretty good idea of what colors you'll see, but zero way of predicting in what amount or variations.

It was a total surprise, I had not seen the black tiger stripes before her shed. I'm over the moon with this little girl.

Ruby has a very interesting eye color, Foxy looks completely different.
After all, beardies eyes are part of their personality.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
