new rescue tired and draging body

i just got a new rescue from a guy on clist, he looked healthy and alert when i got him and did not have any cosmetic problems that i could see, scratches, cuts, missing toes, a small tail nip but other than that he looked healthy...well over the last couple of days i noticed that he does not really stand up on his rear legs to much and kinda drags the rear end of his body around...his setup is correct reptisun 10.0, good basking temps i started him on rept aid just in case he has any problems with parasites and he seems fine. i have also started using calcium and vitamin powder on all of his food. and i have givin him one warn bath since he has been here, which i will do again today. he does not move around to much and seems to drag his rear legs and belly a bit, not totally he does kick with his rear legs a bit to help move around but he does not lift his belly off the ground....just wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on whats going on/what i can do to help. i know its brumation season here and seeing as he is 3 years old from what i was told he could just be tired because he is in brumation.....thanks for reading-Andrew

Did the original owners use the correct UVB and calcuim powder. Can you post the tank setup. Temps, substrate, and food.

Raise the temps up to 100 to 105. The are a bit low. He might have mbd if the previous owners didn't have the right setup.

I think you should send a personal message to Drache613 (tracie). She is very helpful and I think she can give you good advise on wha to do.

99.3 is a fine basking temp, as it is essentially 100F... Is the UVB a tube or coil? It really does sound like MBD, and you will need to up the calcium and possibly offer liquid calcium. If it is warm where you live, I would take him outside for 30-45 minutes of sunlight a day, as well. That is really the best cure for calcium problems. If he is dragging his legs due to MBD, he may not ever have full use of them even after recovery, but can live a very high quality and happy life as long as you provide proper care for him. This may include not using things he can climb on too high and potentially fall off of, but otherwise he should live a pretty normal beardie life. What are you using at the bottom of the tank (sand, reptile carpet, tile, paper towel, etc.)?

Tracie is a good person to contact, as Brittani suggested.

For the hard urates, offer water orally via dropper or syringe. Dribble it over his lips and let him lick it off. Might take a few tries before he catches on. Also, increase baths to every other day, or daily. It sounds like he might be a bit dehydrated.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
