New Beardie-Sheldon

Hey guys! I am super excited to announce that I got a beardie! A beautiful male dragon, here are some pics. We don't have a name yet, but suggestions would be awesome!

Herachio,gunner, I'm a big twilight fan so any name from the movie jake,edward,carlisle, etc, speedy, dante,spawn,elmo,alfie,machete,i don't know just threw a few names out there

I am still thinking, he is really enjoying the enclosure, all of his stress marks are gone right now. I may need to get a weaker bulb temps are around 109 and very slowly rising. But the highest I have seen is 109

I like the idea of staying around the dragon concept. I just named my guy Spyro but there is also Draco, Charmander, etc. Also I like mythological names like Khronos, Zeus, Odysseus, Titan, Achilles, etc, just some suggestions, he is a cute little guy!

Do you think a 150 watt is too much? Highest temp I saw was 110

3 questions is your dragon basking with that temp is it staying away from the basking spot if it is that mean its hot for your dragon and what size tank do you have

I think a 30g and he seems to like it. He stays in the basking spot.

If you keep it that high you have to give him a bath like everyday for 10-15 min that temp is more for a hatchling try to get it to 105 cuz with that temp he may get dehydrated easily

Why wattage bulb will do the job?

I heard the flood bulb is good i never tried one but try a 100 w

I have a 45 watt flood light and it keeps it around 106

Hello,

Very sweet little one!
He looks happy in his new home.
How are the temperatures doing? The ranges can be 95-110 but he still needs a cool end of around 78-82 or so.
I am sure he is going to eat a lot for you!

Temps are great, I will measure the cool side tomorrow, the hot side is above 103. He ate 8 crickets for dinner. I learned my lesson about putting crickets in his Viv -.- they hide..... I will get a container for feeding time. I am going to try with some greens tomorrow. He is very active and alert. I am very excited! We have yet to pick a name.

He has been arm waving in head bobbing while basking it is very cute. He gets distracted by his reflection too, I try to help him not see it though.

My family likes the name Sheldon.

P.S we watch a lot of the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory." What do you think?
