Darn I was hoping he would get more orange. I wanted to get another one with more color but I want to wait and see if this one is a boy or a girl, I herd that males dont like to be housed together so I should wait right?
Even two females should not be housed together. One can dominate the other and the weaker beardie could stop eating, not grow, etc. They could even fight and that would be terrible. Beardies are more solitary critters. If you're thinking of getting another beardie then plan on having separate tanks. I have two males (in separate tanks their whole lives) but when they see each other they freak out and would positivly fight if they were ever out together. Better safe than sorry.
But! on the lighter side of things, your beardie has lovely colors and is super cute
! and yah they can get "relocation stress" when you bring them home and not eat for a week or so. Keep offering crickets and greens till your baby feels like eating again. Just make sure to remove any uneaten crickets for bedtime because they can bite your beardie while it's sleeping.
Congrats on your new baby!
