Hi, so I got my dragon from petsmart Monday and he ate crickets the first day and now he wont eat, its (Thursday) he will not eat crickets or his veggies. He just lets the crickets crawl on him, also he pooped once Tuesday and yesterday. But is not eating. Is it just because hes nervous?

Ok thank you! Yes I do have a cat that likes to sit and watch him from the glass, soooo I just kicked him out of that room.

Thank you. Do they get lighter or darker as they get older? Also when I give him a bath should the water be warm and how long do I leave him in it?

Darn I was hoping he would get more orange. I wanted to get another one with more color but I want to wait and see if this one is a boy or a girl, I herd that males dont like to be housed together so I should wait right? Also thanks again for the bath info.

It can go either way with the coloring.. sometimes they can get really bright as they shed, or sometimes they can get more dull...

Even two females should not be housed together. One can dominate the other and the weaker beardie could stop eating, not grow, etc. They could even fight and that would be terrible. Beardies are more solitary critters. If you're thinking of getting another beardie then plan on having separate tanks. I have two males (in separate tanks their whole lives) but when they see each other they freak out and would positivly fight if they were ever out together. Better safe than sorry.

But! on the lighter side of things, your beardie has lovely colors and is super cute :) ! and yah they can get "relocation stress" when you bring them home and not eat for a week or so. Keep offering crickets and greens till your baby feels like eating again. Just make sure to remove any uneaten crickets for bedtime because they can bite your beardie while it's sleeping.

Congrats on your new baby! :)

ok thanks for the warning. If I do get another one I will be sure to house them separately. Any good sights for getting a pretty orange one or just cool looking in general?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
