Nathaniel, Cierra, Castiel, Freya, Grrl; RIP GABRIEL

We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

Its ok Deb everything will work out somehow just stay positive and hope for the best for everyone. I know how you feel I sometimes wish I was closer to my sister. I'm 19 and she is 22 in September and when we were younger maybe I was 5-6 and she was 8-9 we used to play all the time together and hang out a lot. I actually remember sleeping in her room sometimes just so we could keep each other company. Anyway well let's just say I don't know what happened but my sister never wants to do anything with me anymore or attempt to even call me. She has always told me that she doesn't love me but she doesn't hate me. I think the last time I saw her was the end of November to the beginning of December when my uncle past away from cancer. I haven't even gotten a happy birthday call from her for my birthday on last Sunday. I sometimes wish me and her could sit down and just talk because there are times when I feel like I wish I was closer to her.

I sure can understand what you're going through, my sis and I didn't get along until I was in my thirties and she was in her late 20s. When we had kids it made a huge difference. We're so different, like night and day, but we get along much better now and look forward to seeing each other. So things might change with your sister along the way. I remember being 22 and not wanting to have anything to do with my family...but that passed soon enough. And once Eric was born, it was much easier to connect with everyone. Now we all get along. So hopefully that's what will happen with you and your sister, too.

I'm an only child though I did have three boy cousins growing up in the same house. We were never completely close and I barely know anything about my only other girl cousin. My cousins: Kayla: 22, Me: 21, Jake: 19, Adam: 18, Sam: 17. We're closer now. All of my cousins are in the military. I'm the odd grandchild in the family :lol: I think when you get older the age difference doesn't matter as much.

They all doing just fine, Titan, though, has decided, after 3 days of eating all his greens, not to eat anymore. So we'll see what happens after he sees the vet on Saturday and starts his meds. It will be great when he's parasite free! I'm just about to start baths, so gotta go! Time to get them sorted and get ready for work, yuck!

Yes, eww work! So Titan ate most of his greens today, but he'll only eat one type of bok choy, so the worms are going to get the other type I got. I also bought him some red pepper, snow peas & green beans and he won't eat anything on his own, so I guess I'll make up some & feed him by hand in the am. Rubio loves red pepper, so he'll get some tomorrow, too.

When I left for work, Rubio had gone into his hide :dontknow: When I got home, he was 1/2 out of his hide, asleep on the side of his big dish :lol: I guess the effort of getting out of his hide knocked him out :lol:

And it was the first time I gave him the greens Lindz, I was so proud that he then wanted more!

Thanks Liz, I'm proud that they do look happy, they seem to be anyway. I think that pic of Titan would be great for the calendar, don't you? I've never seen him pose so well! He looks so proud of himself. And he's now shedding his neck and I'm hoping his head and spikes, too.
