We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

So here are a few pics, he's a yellow & dark gray, light gray colour.

Under the communal power sun in the living room:

Discovering there are girls in those tanks up above, he has a great black beard for such a skinny boy:

On the couch, he's got a pretty diamond pattern on his back:

Hope you enjoy

Sweetie was our first dragon, we got her at 4 mo old in 2006 from my son & ended up keeping her.
Then Lonzo was the first male, we adopted him in Sept 2007
Then we rescued Rubio and Issy in September 2008 from a pet shop
Then we rescued Angel in 2009; Angel passed away Feb/10 of kidney failure caused by her severe MBD.
The we got Leo on Feb 14/10, he was given to us by a neighbour who'd rescued him and Puff (a female) from Craig's List.
Issy passed away April/10 of a virus.
We fostered Didi in July 2010 with his sister Loish. Loish passed away 3 weeks later of low blood calcium.
Then Didi's owner moved to Japan permanently and realized she couldn't get Didi over there, so I got to keep him!
Then Roger and Sweetie passed away in 2011.
I rescued Gabriel in April 2012
And I rescued Titan in April 2013.
And that's how I ended up with 6 boys!
But I will always miss my girls and Roger.

So that's the history of my dragons since we got Sweetie in 2006

You're right and in between there somewhere we had a little dragon named Dino for a week, he'd been under a Reptiglo for his whole life and it make him very sick, we tried our best, but he passed away after a week with us, so he's also buried with Loish, Sweetie, Issy and Angel. He was the cutest, sweetest, little beardie. I was so hoping we could help him. That's another reason why I hate Reptiglo lights, they just cause so many issues.

From 2006 to 2010 were very busy years. When we got Rubio, there were 14 babies in a 40 gallon tank at the pet shop where Roger worked. There was also a biter in there, so we started up a hospital where Roger would smuggle out a bitten baby, we'd heal it up and keep them in a 30 gallon tank (there were 7 altogether & Issy, because that was her tank. She had healed up enough to take over the babies and she was definitely in charge!) I also made a baby salad for the babies at the shop, 'cause they never got enough crickets. Altogether we saved the 7 babies and as a result I was given Rubio to keep :D It was all worth it!

Thanks Lori, he's hiding in his hide right now, he's shedding his back and not a happy camper at all. Of all my beardie, he hates shedding the most. Titan is shedding a lot right now, I'm hoping his head will shed too & get rid of more of that burned yuck. He's done his neck and parts of his beard so far, but his whole back, parts of his legs and his tummy are next. He's in his hide, too, and hasn't been eating as much as usual. Hopefully he's done before I leave on Sunday night. Rubio won't be, he takes forever to shed!

I really enjoyed the history recap Deb. You earned every dragon and each one is very lucky to have you. Myah has been enjoying her hide lately too. She'll go for months without touching it then will lay in it for a day or two then go back to ignoring it. :? Myah seems to take a long time to shed too. Though, with Rubio I imagine it just takes a lot of energy to shed that much dragon! I can't wait til Titan just looks like Titan. Come on sheds! :D

Thanks Holly, I still miss my girls like crazy, but boys have their positive points, too  Titan shed off a huge piece from the top of his head and it looks as if it's the right colour, so I'm hopeful the rest will come along, too. Here's a pic I took this am:

And a pic of a pudgy tummy from last night, he decided he liked his new tree

You can see his back shed and how dark the top of his head still is.

And Matt, I told Rubio he has a co-owner now, so he hid in his hide  but not because I mentioned you, because his back shed is bugging him, poor big sweetie.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
