Nathaniel, Cierra, Castiel, Freya, Grrl; RIP GABRIEL

We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

Well I couldn't resist, have a few more pics:

Didi had this on his beard the other day, it was gone the next morning, it was as if he'd painted on his beard, so strange!

Then while he was out he decided he liked the toy cat at the end of the ramp, even liked it when I pushed on it and it started to purr :lol:
"Hey mom, I likes dis ting, it's warm"

So I got home tonight, 2nd day at work, so none of my boys are wrapped up as Jake now comes in to turn everything off and this is how I found Rubio :lol: Are these sexy legs? :lol:

Yesterday morning, when I let Rubio out to run around the living room, I was on the computer and heard this strange thumping, looked over the barrier and this is what I found, he was trying to get out of the living room :lol:

Silly dragon!

Leo was trying to hide, no idea why, but he sure blended into his log :lol:

And found Bunny sleeping like this, sweet little girl:

So I gave them all Acidopholuz this am and they ALL loved it. So will continue to give it to them daily, hopefully it will help Rubio, as he's just not digesting regular food at all. So babyfood and Carnivore Care and Acidopholuz, hopefully gets him better soon.

Love all the pictures of your babies. Bunny is so cute sleeping upright. I can never remember all their names to go with the pictures but trying to blend in with the log is just to funny. Great pictures, thanks for sharing them with us.

What lovely pics! Didi reminds me of Myah. They look nothing alike in face and color, but their body proportions are very similar. I have to weigh Myah but I still don't think she's up to 400grams. That girl is all tail! :lol:

Hi Lindsay, I laughed when I found Didi on the cat, too! It's not often I catch him like that and he likes it when I make the cat purr, too. I have no idea why Rubio sleeps like that, it looks really uncomfortable!

Hi Hollly, glad you enjoyed the pics, they all keep me hopping and laughing! And yes, I guess that Didi and Myah have alot in common but Myah has a much longer tail. I'm trying my hardest to get his weight back up, too, and it seems to be working.

Hi Esther, yes I'm taking care of myself but I think I went back to work too early. The stockings work great, no edema in sight, but today my whole leg started aching and I"m limping, so I'm back home and seeing my doc again tomorrow. I have to talk to health services to get a return to work started, as I can't seem to do the full 8 hours without my ankle/leg hurting. So I'll talk to Jacob (my contact) tomorrow. Talked to my manager today before I left and she agreed that I can't fool around with it, so need to do the hours that are comfortable, she doesn't want it getting worse again. What a drag, I was sure I was ready. Oh well...

That's a good question, atleast for a little while? It seems like it's 2 steps forward 3 steps back (pardon the analogy ) I'm really ready to hear that all is well, so I can't imagin how frustrating this must be for you

No I can't work at home as I work in a bank in Collections and it's secure environment. I saw the doc at the clinic today and she just said I went back full time too early and should be working 1/2 days. When I got home I called Health Services and Jacob agreed that 1/2 days would be fine. I'm back on short-term (full salary) and will be working 4-8p, probably starting Tuesday. The pain in my legs is due to being off centre when walking. So once the limp is gone & it's almost gone already, I'll be good to go. So I should be contacted Monday and will work 1/2 days, getting up every hour for a short walk, and then once I can manage 1/2 days without pain I can start 1/2 day, full day, 1/2 day, full day, etc. then adding to the 1/2 day until I'm finally back full-time. So that should get me back in better health. Sp hopefully that works. I have to say that where I work, I get great benefits and they will go out of their way to make it easier to get back to work. And I get along with my manager, too, which helps.

Thanks Liz, I'm really hoping so, my doc told me ankle sprains can take up to a year to fully heal, but as long as I can work without making it worse, I'm happy!

And Holly, it is going backwards, but that's the way it works with ankle sprain.
