Nathaniel, Cierra, Castiel, Freya, Grrl; RIP GABRIEL

We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

Oh Gina, that brought tears to my eyes, what a beautiful poem. I think it's hitting me more that he's gone forever...I think of him often, but the way he was in that picture, not as he was before he passed. Thanks again, Gina, you always make me feel better

Hey Deb Glad to hear you had a nice relaxing Christmas with your mom and dad. We had a nice Christmas as well. Loved all the pictures of your boys and girl. I laughed when I read about Gabriel jumping in with Leo to get away from his poo :lol: It was nice you got to hang out with Jolene and Thresh as well.. Thresh has some nice color in him. Loved the tribute to Titan as well..it made me cry too.

Hi Blue, thanks for checking in. I still miss Titan, he was only in my home for a short while, but left a bit hole. Puff has helped fill that in a bit, but I'll never have another Titan. And yes, even though I was sad about Titan, I had a good Xmas, did you?

Puff in her new tank, she got Leo's tank, Leo got Titan's old tank, all cleaned up, and he's in my bedroom and Puff's old tank is on the balcony. Joanne came over and helped me move all the tanks to avoid hurting my bad arm. All in all, Puff looks happier in the living room and Leo doesn't mind being in the bedroom.

So all the moving around is done, my Xmas shopping for New Year's day at my folks is mostly done (we're having Xmas presents after lunch) & now I can rest & watch some movies Hiesenberg's Mom sent me!

I'm hoping that Puff will look as happy as she did in Gabriel's tank, maybe she needs more pillows!

You have been so kind to me over the last two years and just a loving friend. I really appreciate you and your support through the death of my Geico, even though you are going through your own grieving with Titan. I never know what to say when a beloved pet goes to the rainbow bridge, and I can say I truly know how you feel. I would love to think Titan and Geico are up there running around, chasing crickets and worms, black bearding each other and just having a ton of fun till we get there to collect them. Titan won a soft place in my heart just as Dino did when he was battling YF. I don't know what I would have done without some of you and I just want you to know you are loved just as several others that saw Geico grow up. The tears still flow but not as much and I can look at his videos and smile. I know where he is in my garden and can go out and talk to him and that's comforting. Again Thank you from me and Geico for the caring words you and several others have said to me. Hugs for you and hope the pain in your heart eases up soon. I hope you can see the new videos of Emily and Emmett and laugh a bit at Emmett and his little stunt.
