Nathaniel, Cierra, Castiel, Freya, Grrl; RIP GABRIEL

We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

Awww, thanks, I think Bunny is cute, too. I was thrilled when my friend called me last December & offered her to me, so glad she's in a small tank so I had room for her. She's just a sweetheart, even though she doesn't really like to be handled too much, so I get her out at night to say hi a bit & let her climb my arms up and down, then back in her tank. She's the only gecko I've ever met who has her own stick, she just loves that stick, runs up and down it all the time. I always thought cresties had to have lots of things in their tank, but she's a minimalist; she loves that I took her coco fibre out, she loves having just glass on the bottom of her tank, she takes baths in her little water dish and she has her plastic leaves that she sleeps behind. Besides her hide, that's all she has and she seems very happy like that.

I just read about Bandit and your kitten. Not sure what to do about the kitty, but recommended that you cover Bandit up at night, even a soft towel will do, it just makes her world dark and she may just sleep in!

They all look great Deb, all their coloring is different. Some of the looks on their faces shows their "full of it" personality. Doesn't look like any of them lost any wt while you were gone which is good.

You have a very nice looking family. Your mom & dad look very good.

Hi Diane, thanks for checking out the pics. My dad is 86 and my mom is 77 & I'm very proud that they're still active and still love travelling (travelling with my mom, on the other hand, is a different sort of experience, not one I plan to repeat for awhile :lol: )

So I took a few more picture (just can't resist :lol: ) so here they are:
So Didi really does love this black cushion, I caught him sleeping on it the other night, comfy as could be. I had to move him so I could cover him for the night as it's hard to cover a beardie that's sleeping vertically :lol: And they have to be covered because I can't shut the curtains in the living room with Didi sleeping on the ramp, plus I have lights on in the living room to use the computer:

Aw Didi and Titan are so cute. Nice to know someone is eating greens. Rubio is too cute. He's like "what mom I can fit on this branch watch me." And then the last picture is like "See I told you."

And Liz, you'd be right, he'd consider it prison, which is why I'm in no rush to set up his tank, it's still in the back seat of my car :lol: I figure I have all summer to set it up, but it will have to be up by fall, it will get too cold by the patio door for him to stay there at night. He'll be able to see Rubio, so we'll see how entertaining that is!

Hi Matt, Rubio is very expressive, always, after I took those pics he hightailed it into his hide and I haven't seen him since. Guess he doesn't want more pictures right now :lol: So when he reappears I'll take more :mrgreen: And Titan is the ONLY one who eats greens on his own, the others have to be hand fed, yuck.

Hi Michele, aren't they just so cute. And Titan is growing so much, he's now 17 3/4" long and I'm sure he's over 350g or more :shock: , have to get a new scale to find out. He's growing so much, he doesn't look like a baby anymore, makes me pout.

I know Gina "prison" that would be what he'd consider being in a tank, but he'll have to be there to sleep when it gets colder, but he still has 3 mo of freedom before that has to happen.

Titan sure couldn't deny eating his greens, he sure looks good & healthy. Is there still some icky areas that haven't shed yet? He sure loves his supers!

Didi sure loves HIS cushion, better not move it too far from him at any time or he will search until he finds it.

Hi Diane, Yes, Didi has taken over the ramp, but he will have to get into a tank by the end of the summer, I'm not looking forward to the pouting and glass dancing, but it will be more to sleep and just be in when others are out. He's fallen in love with that cushion, but it stays on the ramp anyway, so it won't be far from him :mrgreen:

Titan has grown a lot and he's already shed some off the left side of his face and 3x from the top of his head, so even though it's still a bit gray, there is colour coming out in places, he doesn't look near as bad as he did when I first got him. He's growing by leaps and bounds, which is wonderful to see, too.

Rubio is very expressive, he wasn't pleased about the pictures and he's in his hide since yesterday and hasn't shown his face. He'll probably come out for a bit later looking for food & that will be that. He needs to get his calcium/vit-min combo, so I'll pull him out shortly, but he'll probably go back in, he's been doing this all summer.
