We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

So here are a few pics, he's a yellow & dark gray, light gray colour.

Under the communal power sun in the living room:

Discovering there are girls in those tanks up above, he has a great black beard for such a skinny boy:

On the couch, he's got a pretty diamond pattern on his back:

Hope you enjoy

Hi Diane, she is a sweetie and really seems to not mind being held. Even Rocco let me hold him tonight. Geckos can live up to 15-20 years, so 7 yrs old isn't that old, it'll be good once I get her food in.

Hi Gina, she was a surprise, but I knew Jake had no more room, so was pleased to take her in. Jake was really good about the best things for her, so I have a good idea now what to do for her.

Hi Hemi's Mom, she's so soft, like velvet and likes to wrap her arms around my fingers. I've always wanted a crestie!

Hi Tonja, thanks very much and thanks for checking in!

Hi Lori, thanks, it was a bit surprise, but I thought about it for two days & her tank isn't very big so I knew I could fit her in. I really enjoy watching her run around in her tank & I hope I'm not taking her out too often. She needs more leaves in her tank, more things to climb & hide in during the day, so I have to clean out what there & get a better substrate. I did buy coco fibres, have to soak them & then I can change out her tank, get Rocco's new tank done, switch them places so Rocco gets more heat & Bunny stays cool & they'll be all set. So have alot of work to do in the next couple of days.

Just saw that video on the news, reporting that it'd gone viral. Both of the reporters were cracking up while talking about it.

First time I saw it was just now. It's funny! a couple of the comments under it said that the dog was asking to shut up the baby as it hurt it's ears. I think if that was the case, the dog would have run away. Toward the end, the baby seemed to be trying to talk to the dog.

Ahhh! I'm late! I'm late for the amazing news! Dang you second job! *Shakes fist in air at nothing* Congratulations on the new addition! Welcome little bunny! :D Hmmm... This is interesting... I didn't know gecko's got that big. Huh, I guess I'm just use to seeing babies. Hmmm...very interesting... They are awfully cute... (insert shifty eyes here) :p
http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?v= ... 8624089099 Oh my gosh! That was WAY too cute! Loved it! :D

Glad you did Holly, it was like a contest to see who could talk the loudest. Every time I watch it, it makes me laugh!
I glad you liked the pics of Bunny, she is a big girl. I've never owned a crestie before but Jake, my dragonsitter, raises them, so had lots of good advice on how to make her more comfy.

Yes, he breeds different types of corn snakes, cresties and leos. I saw a one day old leo, so tiny! And the cresties when they're born are teeny, head & tail with a tiny body in between. He's been doing this for a few years and he's only 17. He's one great reptile master!

Well Bunny is sleeping upside down this am, so funny  She has her body hidden, all I can see if her head. I've been taing her out for a minute in the evening when she wakes up, she's still good about it, likes to climb up my arm and settle on my shoulder, but won't leave her there, afraid she'll jump to the floor. I just mixed up some cocofibre, so today after gym I'll be changing the bottom of her tank, which really smells. Then I have some leaves to put in her tank, too, see if she likes them. Rocco gets a new tank, too, but I have to wait for Jake, as I can't lift it, it's alot heavier than Bunny's tank. Then they'll trade places in the living room & Rocco will be closer to the heater & Bunny will be away from it. Good for both of them. Next weekend I have to find a temp guage to plug the heater into so it will stay at a good heat. Same for the small one I got for the roaches.

So I saw the physio, she told me when a muscle is pulled there are always muscle fibres that are torn, which is why it's so painful. She's taped my muscle to give it support, I still continue the cold and I found out I was doing the exercise all wrong, so now I have it better & can do it at work. I see my doc tomorrow, then call Health Services and will ask to go back to work for 4 hours a day this week to see how painful it still is. My physio said it can take up to 2-2 1/2 months to heal compeltely. Luckily it wasn't a severe tear or I would have been in the hospital! So glad that didn't happen.

My boys have been enjoying me home, they're all getting alot of outside time, especially Lonzo, and lots of snuggle time. It will be different when I get back full time, but that could take a couple of weeks or more. We'll see how this week goes first. We have our big luncheon on Thursday, so I'll be able to go there, plus our Christmas party on Saturday night, so I'll go there for a few hours, too. That will be nice, then relax on Sunday and I'll know by then how many hours I can do the following week. I see the physio next weekend again, then the physio & chiro the 15th, then to my mom's for the afternoon. Want to see them before Xmas day.

I spend my birthday $ on my dragons, but I get overtime pay next week, then soon after my yearly bonus, so will use that on myself! I don't get alot of gilfts, just for my youngest nephews and neices, so doesn't cost alot. My son is just getting cards for Xmas and his birthday as I won't see him, but I'll take him out for lunch or dinner in January.

So I am getting better, it's just a slow process, it's good I took that week & a bit off, helped me heal alot faster than going to work.

I'm glad you're healing, even if it is slow. I believe the time off work was more then worth it. We all need to rest when not up to par

Thanks Holly, as my physio said, it's a mild tear, but still a tear. She said any time a muscle is pulled there are small tears that heal quickly, that's how more muscle is formed, but I did a doozie, so will take another month at least to be 100% so I can exercise it again. My trainer is wonderful, we did an hour today that did gently stretch that muscle but really worked out above the waist, it was great to sweat again  I sure needed that work out!

I got a pic of Bunny sleeping upside down, so funny, you can see the side & throat & the tip of her tail. Don't know how she can be comfy sleeping like that, but she seems to be. :love5:

Glad to hear your leg is starting to heal Deb, it's gonna take some time and you'll have to be real careful for a while.

 Look at Bunny, how on earth did she do that? Good thing she didn't slip and fall on her head. Did she sleep like that for hrs?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
