We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

So here are a few pics, he's a yellow & dark gray, light gray colour.

Under the communal power sun in the living room:

Discovering there are girls in those tanks up above, he has a great black beard for such a skinny boy:

On the couch, he's got a pretty diamond pattern on his back:

Hope you enjoy
Deb and my six dragons :D      :( :love5:

Hi Kaleen, I love both of those movies, I've seen them a few times, I have 2 nephews I babysit often & the 6 yr old loves all those movies, too. They get netflix so can watch the other ones & I bought Madagascar & a new movie called The Brave that's really good, too. I also got a few movies from the library tomorrow, Fame and a few others, all upbeat. So it was a sit around day yesterday, even though I did get my hour with my trainer. We did upper body and core exercises, anything that left my leg straight. I have to ice it 3x per day & I have stretches & a particular stretch just for my leg, hopefully after a week of this I'll be able to get back to work next Monday. Being off a week is normally good, but not when youre movements are restricted. So it will be an interesting week, at least I get lots of time with my boys for a change!

I'll be able to get up those steps at my sister's, it'll just be once, so even if it hurts, I'll freeze it up when I get home. Thanks for the birthday wishes, it will be a blast today!
Hope you're feeling better Kaleen. I just loved your rink, it's just beautiful!

I found Gabriel in a different hiding place than usual, this is in front on Didi's tank, beside the sofa & they don't get over to this corner often, so took me awhile to find him:
001-7.jpg

And I found Leo sleeping in his little food dish on top of the river pebbles we've always had there:

After I put Gabriel back in his tank after being out for over an hour (yes he has to share the living room with the other 3), he pouted for a good part of the day. Notice the left back leg on top of one of his little houses. I finally relented and he slept on my shoulder until bed time:

After I got Gabriel settled on the sofa for the night, I put Didi on my shoulder where he fell asleep, just took this pics, time for bed, little guy!

My girls prefer to sleep on us unless I don't have anything covering her eyes and there is too many lights on where I'm sitting. I think Didi would prefer to sleep all night long right where he is. That's what Rosie tells me when I try to put her into her hide box at night. Goldie tried also and Lil Squirt has such sharp claws that she clings to me as soon as I pick her up from my shoulder she clings to my hand and tries to keep me from putting her into her tank. I tell her she can't sleep on me, she's to little and it's not safe for her to sleep on me. I tell that to Rosie and she's a lot larger than Squirt is.

I really had to pursuade Didi to go to bed, he tried to climb back up my arm & get back where he was. But he finally settled down. I love it when they want to cuddle & snuggle on me, but after a full day of it, it was time to get them all to bed. That is one good thing about being home, is the cuddling whenever I want!

Was Gabriel teasing his brothers again? :laughing6:
That Leo, he sure loves sleeping on his rocks.
Didi is quite the little snuggler, huh? He'd probably stay on you 24/7 if you let him.

I think Gabriel was pouting because he knew I'd grab him up when I got home, which I did. Spoiled little bum, isn't he! Both Gabriel & Didi would live on my shoulders if they could. They both get really annoyed when I put them back into their tanks, trying to climb back up my arms every time. Didi gets especially annoyed when I won't let him live on the ramp  And then after he gets a snuggle I put him back in his tank anyway  They're all spoiled!

I got a call a few days ago from a friend, Jenn, who I hadn't seen for awhile. She's Deja's owner, the pitbull Roger and I used to babysit. She said she had a 7 yr old crestie that needed a good home & would I know of anyone? So I told her I had room and I would take her. So I went over last night & spent a couple of hours snuggling with Deja & playing with their two cats & handling Buddy. I handled her alot, she's a sweet big girl. Guess everyone thought she was a he, but she doesn't have the "equipment" which is really evident on Cresties, so my new girl is home with me. She ate a ton of crickets last night (she's an awesome hunter), I changed her water dish as she drinks from it & this am she's sleeping in her leaves. So I got a couple of pics:

Her tank:

What I found this morning, sleeping crestie:

Looks like no relocation stress, I"ll have to see how she is later tonight. I handled her alot last night & she enjoyed it, didn't try to jump off me at all. So guess it was just meant to be. Now I can honestly say I HAVE A FULL HOUSE!

I'm always taking pics of Gabriel, so took a few of the other 3 still up:
Lonzo, driving Didi & Leo crazy on his outside time in the living room:

Didi's reaction: "Mom, did you see what he's doing?"

Leo's favourite place to cool off:

Lonzo watching Leo out on the floor: "grumble...I should be out there....grumble"
003-24.jpg

Didi relaxing on the ramp: "This is MY place, no-one else should be allowed here, I should be here ALL the time"
004-23.jpg

I'll get more pics of Buddy when she wakes up.

So, Buggy turned out to be Buddy and is a female, bet you were surprised when you took a close look. Can't wait to see more of her, looks like she has unique tail markings. That's great that she hasn't had any stress marks at all and she must feel comfortable with you already since she let you hold her so much. :p

Lonzo looks so much better, even his eyes look nice & bright and can see that he's put some wt on. Didi really DOES look like he's trying to be a tattletale. You sure can read their thoughts! They all look so great. Thanks for always sharing such awesome pictures.

Hi Diane,
She is a cutie & I've decided to name her Bunny, almost the same sound. I'm glad you think Lonzo looks better, it's a pain to have to really hand feed the supers but it's been worth it, it's the only bug that keeps weight on him. He'll eat squash & greens with no problem, but won't go near the supers, but once I get his mouth open (I'm very gentle) he'll eat 4-6 a day. It really shows, he's back up to 558 which he was back on Oct 8!

I have a couple of more pics of Bunny, now that she's awake:
Here she's very interested in climbing down, but not likely!
009-22.jpg

And face on:
010-17.jpg

Jake is going to get me some Repashy, he gets it for free from a breeder friends of his, and if he can't I'll pay him back. She's never had any, and she's not supposed to be eating crickets all the time, not a full diet for her. I gave her some tonight, but going forward she'll get Repashy daily & a few crickets once a week. Repashy is a complete diet for cresties and as Jake raises them, he knows more about them than I do. He helped me get Rocco's new tank upstairs & when he comes over I'll be able to give him back the tank he got for free for his mom's little frog & Rocco gets his space back again. We're going to move Rocco to where Bunny is, as she can't get as warm as Rocco needs, so he'll get a heating pad & I'll be able to put the heat down some. She's supposed to not be in heat any higher than 75, while he needs at least 80F, so we'll get them both sorted & they'll be much happier. Rocco let me handle him tonight, too and so did Bunny, she's so soft! So this is an adventure.

I also snuggled Leo and Didi while I watched the first 1/2 of War Horse. Now they're in bed & I've fed the geckos, so I'm off to watch the rest of the movie.

Thanks for looking in Diane, now I really do have a full house!

Yes, you really DO have a full house. :p I'm happy for you and Bunny (love the name). She's adorable and I love the way she wrapped her front legs around your fingers, we're used to our beardies doing it but didn't know that geckos do it too. It's obvious that she totally trusts you. She doesn't look 7 yrs old, is their life span about equal to beardies?

Sounds like you're doing an awesome job of getting the geckos all set up with what they need, I sure know how hard it can be to get the temps just right. Great that Jake has cresties so he can advise you on what is best. Are his cresties friendly too? The Repashy sounds like that's what she needs.

Thanks for taking the time to post pics of your adorable new girl.

You have another mouth to feed?! Good for you! :D

Pretty soon Jake won't want to leave your house when he babysits

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
