This is my other hobby. It's a 75gal high tech planted aquarium. Not going to go into details, just wanted you guys to see the tank.

It's actually UG (Utricularia Graminnifolia) a carniverous plant. With the lighting in this tank, it grows so fast that even when a fish/shrimp pulls it up, it replaces the divot, so to speak. It's no longer in the tank now, I'm working on a full foreground of Downoi. I'm doing a major rescape in the near future, so I'm kind of excited about that. It's in "growout" mode at the moment for that.

Gads, if only I still had a freshwater planted tank ! Had, but somehow a dragon took it, and now... geckos

do I see a wet /dry return ? Or are those just pumps ?
What lighting are you using ? The only ones I could get that sort of growth from were Halides. much too hot !

actually... in that picture there are over 30 bloodfin tetras in the tank as well as 25 amano shrimp, 5 oto's and an armada of malaysian trumpet snails.... there's just so many plants that even with all those fish you hardly ever see them haha. I hate bloodfins now. They ALWAYS HIDE. I took them out and gave them away since I snapped that pic. I'm not putting fish back in the tank until I move. I have the oto's still in the tank, and amano shrimp, and two small yoyo loaches to take care of any stray pond snails.

The returns on the left are for one of the canister filters, the UV sterilizer, Co2 reactor, and Danner Magdrive pump with fractioning impeller for misting, all inline with eachother. The ones on the right are only for the other Canister filter.

The lighting is 4 x 54w T5HO. I run two bulbs all day and the other two bulbs for 4 hours or so in the middle. It's PLENTY of light haha. I ran the tank with only half of the bulbs for a couple months and the only difference was a little less red, and the Downoi got a bit leggy.
