my bearded dragon ate a small beetle that came with crickets

will he be ok? it sounded really crunchy as he ate it and it just came out with the crickets i put in there for him to eat. im really nervous about impaction or the beetle to eat its way out of the dragon and stuff like that. it was just small though so i shouldnt have to worry about impaction right?

ok good, im just overly protective over him so i worry about stuff like that. also it seems like my bearded dragon likes dusted crickets over not dusted crickets, is this normal? i think im going to have to dust all of them for him so he actualy eats.

You say it sounded very crunchy, im no expert but I think that makes it imposible for anything to eat it's way out after that noise hehe nom-nom-nom
Let him eat them if he wants, once he's eaten his staple foods first

As for dusting, I'd keep the sheduel the same he will eat them just give him time. My dudes just come out of his new location pick eating thing and eats like a horse now, give it time

ya i geuss that proves that it cant eat its way out! the beetles are usually pretty rare to find with the crickets, maybe 1 in every 200 i buy. for only eating dusted crickets, he does eat the non-dusted ones but hes not that excited to eat them like he normaly is, he just stands there and if the cricket comes to him he eats it. for the dusted ones he jumps right to them and goes crazy hunting them down and eating them. could be he just smells them better since the calcium and vitamin supplement i give him smells kind of sweet.
