Mucus-like stuff in vent

I was bathing hemingway since lately he's been stubborn and won't poop unless he's in water and after a few minutes he pooped and did his usual act of dragging his vent but he did it for a lot longer than usual. I picked him up and looked at his vent and this is what I saw...

So i took a wet washcloth and wiped it a few times and it came out. It was a Mucus type texture and was a transparent white. His poop looked good and so did the urate. Its probably nothing to worry about but I would just like a second opinion

Looks like a sperm plug, normal for adult males.

That crossed my mind but I don't think it is, He's only 8 months old.

Thats old enough, males can start breeding younger then that.
