dino started shedding around the beginning of last week, the tip of his tail and then his back legs. He then didnt shed at all again until last night, is it normal for them to stop and start back up like that? also when bathing him should i kind of rub or massage the areas that are shedding or just let him soak and let him remove the skin himself on his branches and rock? might be a silly question but i dont want to help him if im not supposed to since in the wild they dont have slaves to help

Let beardies shed as naturally as possible. Baths really help soothe them during their shed and rehydrate them right after a shed. I'm guessing by your statement that you're beardies has shed in some areas, but not all? They usually shed areas one at a time instead of all at once. Unless you're my beardie, Spot, that is. She'll shed her tail, her nose, her r/l front feet all at the same time and then everything else all at once. She's one stressed girl during that time. It's very natural for them to shed in stages. No worries.

some people will use a soft baby toothbrush for the difficult areas. But when/if you do this, be careful not to pull on anythingn that isn't ready to come off. If something pulls off that wasn't ready, it will have a moist texture to it. Also, be careful not to damage the new scales. Do you have a morph? I only ask because I can't see the picture.

ill just let it come off on its own, i dont want to risk removing anything that is not ready, i will just continue to soak him and let him do his thing. is it common for a pattern to be visible on the shed, i noticed after pulling some pieces out of the water there were some blackish patterns in the shed?

im not aware if he is a morp, i do not think so though, the petshop said he was red, but he didnt seem to know much about them because when i bought him he said he was around 9months when i got him, and just a few weeks ago i went in and i was like do you know how old he was when i bought him and he said 6 months. so he has not much knowledge about him either.

here is one of the more recent photos that i have uploaded to the computer. i really dont think he is any of the special morps.

wow, he's kind of small, but sometimes they are. I have a normal but she shows a very vibrant yellow "happy" color. I was just wondering because people talk about how much more morphs colors stand out each time they shed. Yeah, when Spot sheds there is color on it, I'm sure it's normal.

Frank is going through a shed too. Did Dino eat a lot less? Frank doesn't seem to be interested in anything but basking, shedding, and rubbing all over his rocks!

how many does he eat a day? Frank never eats more than about 10 a day and everyone says that's not enough???Think I got my tank all good now. Dunno, I'm stumped.

he's maybe 2 or 3 months. I've set up according to recommendations on here:
reptisun 10.o tube bulb
110 under lamp 80 on cool side
drops to about 63 at night
no coil bulbs
using multivitamin and calcium with d3
tile (no slip) floor
baths 10 minutes a day
he is in shed right now...never really ate more than 10 crickets in a day. Gets fresh greens everyday. He never was that active. looks around jumps about everynow and then, but never paced like crazy or tried desperately to "claw his way out" of the tank. I just wander if that is his personality?? He poops everyday???like I said...stumped :(

2 to 3 times a day, no bigger than the width apart of his eyes. Usually eats 2 or 3 each time I feed him. Ate all of his greens really good ONE day and will only eat a couple bites hand fed to him for the last few days.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
