Ok so basically I'm a dumb ass and I slept in an hour later than when my lizards lights were supposed to come on. Will this ruin his behavior, do I need to switch his time schedule now since I was off by an hour today

Most people are a bit off after this weekend, myself included. I hate the time changes =S He'll be fine even with the slight variation. I would just try to get him back on a routine going forward, no problem. I'd pick up a timer for the lights if you can, that way you won't have to worry about on/off times as much and can just change it up with the seasons.

Ok, it's the second time it's happened, I got really upset about it (for Kratos sake). Just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. Thanks Cooper, you've been so much help to me I'm very grateful! I'll have to invest in one of those timers.

The timers are great, especially if you need to go away or have a change in your routine. Just set it and forget it. I have a dual outlet timer (UVB light and basking light connected) that works well. You can probably pick one up at your local hardware store for around $10.

I found a single outlet timer at lows for $3 and used a cheep extent ion cord to split it. I did not see the double outlet timer :-( . Still about $10 altogether. It is nice to know that if you are sleeping or working your light schedule will be perfect.

Timer all the way. :) I also just put an extension cord into mine so both UVB and basking light come on. I also have a second one with the opposite schedule set so that night heat comes on and off. Great for if you want to sleep in.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
