Mera & Bowser, new pictures.

since bowser has been feeling down lately (he's doing much better within the past few days) we were at the petstore getting a new ceramic heat emitter for his bedtime and i ran into this cutie. she has a bad kink in his tail and a nip so they gave us a discount on her but she is soo friendly. it's odd having one not try to squirm from my hands and she's so big compared to bowser! i figured she'd keep me from harassing bowser too much because i like spending time with them. gotta pick her out a name though! she's also my "motivation" present from my husband because she's supposed to help me study and do work. here she is hanging on me on our way home, i probably looked crazy walking down the street with a lizard on my chest LOL.

sooo i got my madagascan hissing roaches today and i got 12 instead of 10. they're juvies and around 1-2 inches so they've got a while before they start breeding. they're actually kind of cute. no big floppy wings.

& we got in 1000 small crickets to grow out and feed to the rest of them.

my hands still feel gross from putting vaseline on the side of the tank so the roaches cant climb out. haha.

i hate crickets too but it's all my froggie will eat! i'd pick roaches over crickets any day.

I like wild crickets that give off peaceful chirping and sleep outside. Not the monsters the pet stores sell.

I have been feeding crickets lately since having to part with my dubia colony, as soon as I am out of this dang apartment I will have my dubia back! Crickets do stink and the large ones with wings do chirp, so I always just get mediums and they usually don't chirp, but crickets really don't bother me

every thing of crickets we have bought we've had "escapees" and not just one but multiples. idk how they even get out but then they chirp from under the stove or the fridge or even under my bed. i hate them SO much. :evil:

Got some pictures of the odd children of mine. Imperius even took a selfie for you guys! I also took a few pictures of the dubia next to hissers so you can see the size difference. these are almost full grown hissers & they seem much calmer than the dubia. they are easier to pick up and very calm when i have them on my hand.

yeah she's a porker. she eats every few days now or she gets snippy (not with me but she learned if she acts starved at the glass my husband feeds her again).

Yeah I never thought that I would want a snake. I have always liked snakes just never wanted to own one, I always liked lizards better, but after seeing other peoples corn snakes and seeing them at the pet store, I definitely want one someday. I would probably never own any other kind of snake.

corn snakes are the best but i do want a ball python... or 10.

got some pictures tonight. first off i took a picture of meras behind just to make sure she's female. there's a big difference between her a bows but you never know! this was pre-bath time so she's a little messy from smearing her tank today v.v

here's prius hanging out on my headset/hair while i was on the computer earlier. he prefers being in hair i guess.

& then i had mera and bows out at the same time while i was viv cleaning. no bows bite attempts. a little bit of bows bearding and head bobbing but mera is a really relaxed beardie. she didn't even care just walked off to taste the world. LOL. i figured i'd make the most of it since it was a "good day" for him. hahaha.
