Hello,

How badly swollen are her eyes? It is likely being caused from the coil UVB light so go ahead
& turn that light off while you are waiting for the new tube. If you can get her outside in the sun
for 30 minutes or so daily that can help a lot. Be sure not to place her in any glass tank or a
small, enclosed plastic type of bin or she will overheat.
Just hold her on your lap & let her sunbathe for awhile.
She will need calcium 5 days per week. Since you will be using the T8 tube, use D3 at least
2-3 times weekly. The tube should be mounted directly overhead & within a 6-8 inch distance
from her. Place it alongside of the basking light, also.
Are you able to get any food into her?

Tracie

Yes a little over 2cc of reptaboost and she looked better this morning. It was sad because you could tell she was hungry. She lapped up the reptaboost until she ran out of energy. Her eyes looked so much better already. No longer crusty and she had both open this morning. She was keeping the right one closed pretty much all the time. I left the coil on but pointed straight down instead of on her basking area. I’ll post a picture of her enclosure tonight after I get the new bulb in so y’all can tell me if I’ve got it correct. Thank you to everyone for the advice and support.

Lock the dogs up and take her out -- you can put her in a tote w/ no lid tall enough she can get out and let her sit in it for 15 minutes --- keep an eye on her - sit out there w/ her--

We are going out with her, just meant I couldn’t leave her out all day alone.

Here’s our new lighting set up with the reptisun 10.0. Does it look ok? I think I can tell a difference already. She seems more active this evening.

Hello,

That is good news she seems to be doing better & opening her eyes more. Are you still using
the coil light now or have you turned it off since you got your new tube UVB?
Once you have the T8 tube UVB over her you wont need the compact/coil UVB light at all.
Is the tube in a light fixture also?
The tank looks nice & bright for her so hopefully you will continue to see progress with her now.
I'm glad she did eat some reptaboost also. Did you take her outside?
Let us know how she is doing.

I threw the coil away. She ate 8 medium dubia roaches on her own last night and didn’t do the wobbling and striking and missing. Still not interested in greens. When I left home this morning she was under her light dark and pancaking like crazy! Her eyes have continued to improve and I feel like I can tell she can see better. I cannot thank everyone enough for the good advice.

Here is a trick to get them to eat vegies -- try this and see if it will work
FIRST feed her vegies in the morning - get a glass bowl that super worms cant get out ---- take around 3 along w/ some BSFL around 6-8 and put on top of her salad make sure shes you doing this - that should draw her to bowl - mine is only 9 weeks old but it has worked --- he circles the wagon so to speak and listens and then the next thing you know hes in the bowl eating both the vegies and worms-- feed insects about 45 minutes later or so -- long enough for them to finish whats in the bowl for bugs and at that point they should be getting vegie too --- just make sure you have let her warm up before feeding -- they wont eat if they are cold - mine has learned to go to the bottom of the basking log that I have and sit there and wait for me to get his food - that tells me hes ready to eat --

Here is a website for the BSFL--https://symtonbsf.com/ I also ordered the white bowl from them the medium it works great for the bugs and worms --- the big dubias do get it out tho -- but the smaller insects / worms do not

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
