Pepper has a lump on the left side of her chest near her front arm. I noticed is a few days ago, and assumed it might have been from just eating.. but it hasn't gone away and i can feel it when i run my fingers over it.

Any ideas on what this may be? :?

Hello,

I don't think that would be food up that high?
Could she have hurt herself possibly? It is too low to be the fat pads underneath of the arm. Does it seem to be bothering her any at all?
Is she still eating normally?

There was a time when i saw her try to jump from a rock to one of her branches and fell a little while ago.. but i didn't notice if she had hurt herself or if the lump had been there beforehand. She's been neglecting her greens (from what i've seen) but still eating her feeders regularly and pooping 1-2x a day. She doesn't flinch or puff up at all when i touch it. I'm pretty clueless..

*And i have since removed the branch from her enclosure.

Hello,

It could possibly be a cyst. Only getting an x-ray would determine what it could be, really.
You mentioned that it does not seem to bother her then, or she doesn't flinch when you touch that area?
How is her appetite doing?

It hasn't bothered her at all from what i have seen. And her appetite is fine. I even saw her eating her greens again.

I am hoping it's just a cyst. I am going to make a vet appt just to be sure. Hopefully I can get her in on monday for an x-ray.

She did puff up (not quite a blackbeard yet :p) at me tonight. But i think it was because there was a bug on the outside of her tank and she wanted it and i took it away.

I also have noticed her closing her eyes while basking, almost like she's falling asleep. Is this normal?

This appears to be the area where the rib cage stops and the rest of the ribs extend down the abdomen. Possible the dragon got hurt jumping or climbing.
I am with Tracie though Xray.

Well, my vet is out until the 18th. :banghead: :banghead:

I set up an appt anyway.. he is the ONLY reptile specialist in my area. So i really have no choice.

Hoping she'll be okay until then. Either way, I also set her up for a wellness exam.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
