lobster roaches

hey guys and ladies i was wondering how you guys breed lobster roaches cause im thinking of growing my own...if you have pictures of your setups and any info on how to breed them it would be great if you put it up thanks!!!

Lobster roaches are an excellent feeder and easy to get a colony going---they breed super fast. Only real downside is that they can climb almost anything, so you need a barrier of something----vaseline, usually around the top of their enclosure. Most folks seem to keep their colonies in large rubber maid containers with a heat source underneath on one end. Lobsters like it very HOT and will explode in numbers kept in the right conditions. SO much info. on this site.......

Personally, I prefer blaptica dubia.

could i put them in a 20 gal long tank?

Yep, you can raise them in pretty much anything, even pint sized containers if you really wanted to.

Do a search on the forums for roaches. You will find LOT's of posts with detailed explanations and pics of setups, plus various other questions you may not have thought about just yet. The main feeder species (Lobsters, Turks, and Dubias) are all raised basically the same way. The only difference is that you need the vaseline barrier for the Lobsters since they can climb glass.
