Lilly and Lyla

I finally got my new baby today! She has done great so far. Other than a dark belly she has shown no signs of relocation stress. At 6 months and 104 gm, she ate a meal that would have rivaled my boyfriends 10 month old, 314 gm dragon. She had hornworms, butterworms, and crickets. We actually had to cut her off on cricket because I stupidly bought some that were way to big (we picked out the littlest ones). I have already taken several pictures so I just have to share. I will be updating this post periodically with more pictures and stories. (I have to add my funny cricket story here. Yesterday I went to feeder's supply to get crickets because I won't be able to get bulk until monday. A girl in her 20s or so was helping me. She had jeans on with torn knees. As she was almost done with my crickets she says "Oh my gosh". "What?" I asked. "A cricket just crawled into my pants." She hurried off to go take care of it and another worker came to finish my cricket order. I found it hilarious).

Just a quick update.
Lilly is doing great. She starting to get used to me handling her more. Yesterday she sat on my shoulder for a bit yesterday and will snuggle into my hand when I pick her up. As of yesterday, she has 16 grams since I got her last Thursday. What is really amazing is that my mom, who is very anti-reptile, petted her today as she was wrapped up after bath! I really didn't think that would happen ever, let alone within a week. She's such a sweet girl. I'm having so much fun getting to know her. I'll get more pics soon.

Isn't it fabulous that a little beardie can warm the heart of someone who is anti-reptile, I'm so glad your mom is coming around, I'm happy for you all.
No one would ever believe how beardies smittens us all, unless you have one to experience the joy!!!!!!!!!!

She is an adorable beardie, I have several lil babies dragons that just hatched and they are soooooooooooooooo cute they just love to lay on ya and sleep they are no bigger than my pinky finger except for their tails. We have about seven babies, and many more to hatch to. I don't want to sell them because they are so sweet and we hatched them and are watching them grow up, but yes it's fun having beardies. I love all mine and so does my hubby and kids. My kids actually feed them we have a blind girl, Citris, that is sweet but you definitely have to watch out because since she can't see she thinks that your food. The people who had her before didn't take good care of her at all and when we got her she was underweight(not a problem now) and the owners didn't have the right set up for her and that we think caused her to go blind. I will have to post some pics of all my beardies for you to see since you were kind enough to post your girl's pics on here. I love seeing pics and she's quite photogenic beautiful girl. Have fun with her and hope to see more pics of her.

They are great animals. Congratulations on your new babies. We would of course love to see pictures! I'd love to breed them one day, but it would be very difficult to let them go. I'm glad to hear that your Citrus now has a great forever home. It's so frustrating to see peole who don't take care of their dragons. Thanks for the compliments on Lilly! Poor thing is in shed now and is absolutely miserable . I've had her nine days and it's amazing how attached we already are to each other.

She has been an amazing little dragon so far. I couldn't be happier with her (unless maybe we could find a way that beardies wouldn't scratch lol. Maybe those nail tips like you put on cats? just kidding. And before I get suggestions to trim her nails, I want to let her settle in a bit more before I do something like that and break her trust ).

Is she a morh? I would love to see more pics! I am going to try the towel thing. my wife says I act like it's my kid but I love her to death. Any advice I can get I take. Every day is a new joy followed by a new worry lol. Seems like you know what you are doing!! I love the pics!!

The information I got was that her mom is normal and her dad is red/orange/ god/ sandfire/ hypoorange/ gg. I miss her colors at the moment as everything but her legs and head is going into shed. I will do my best to get more pictures tomorrow, but at the moment she is asleep and will not be happy if I wake her up to take pictures.

Oh ps... I burritoed her tonight to try to get her to sleep in my arms but she would have none of it. I got a "No mommy, you are supposed to do this AFTER my bath" look before she unburritoed herself and scurried off. I'll have to try again with the lights off so she knows its bed time, not play time.

Okay, now you've done it! I will provide pics of EVERYONE! Be ready for a looong post.
Oldest to youngest:

Abby is my 8 year old golden retriever. Right before we got her, we lost a one-year-old to antifreeze poisoning (the police called it "suspicious" but we never did find out for sure how she got it). All of the local retriever puppies were sold out and we were heartbroken. We gave our name to several breeders just in case someone couldn't keep their puppy. Well within a few days we got a call from a woman who was a nursing student and decided she just didn't have time for a puppy. So she called us and we got Abby.
As you can see, she is not one single bit spoiled

Jackie is my 2 year old and the only of the animals who is a rescue. Last July when I was pulling into my driveway I saw this poor puppy out in the road (we live on a busy road). I was able to snatch her up before she got hit. The next few weeks we diligently searched for her owner, but none showed up. It also became obvious in this time that our skiddish little girl had been abused. She cowered any time my dad came near her. Now, less than a year since we got her, you would never know her past. She greets everyone who walks into the house with kisses (and pouts when I don't let her). She has two speeds: very very high energy and asleep.

So what if this ball is half the size of me?

Tyson is not actually my dragon, but my boyfriends. He is approximately 10 months old. He was bought from one of the best pet stores I've ever seen in terms of care of their animals. They even told us NOT to buy another baby to keep with him! I never was crazy about reptiles until I spent time with Tyson. He loves nothing more than hornworms and running around.

What a great looking clan, just love the expressions on your pups, and the beardies are a beautiful color..........you can see they are very spoiled and loved........great job with all four! Kudos!!!!!!!!!!

how are you both? Lilly have you enjoyed eating your salads? I know that our little baby beardies have to be sold but I'm determined to keep some of them, with along some of my baby leopard geckos. I love seeing them when they are first born well I've got to go and tend to my other animals. I have a Cavalier King Charles named Cookie, a sheltie named Lady or Lady bug, I'd list all my geckos but there just wouldn't be enough room for all there names including our beardie clan. We have nine beardies adults and eight babies. I love my animals they're so funny and gentle.
