Lilly and Lyla

I finally got my new baby today! She has done great so far. Other than a dark belly she has shown no signs of relocation stress. At 6 months and 104 gm, she ate a meal that would have rivaled my boyfriends 10 month old, 314 gm dragon. She had hornworms, butterworms, and crickets. We actually had to cut her off on cricket because I stupidly bought some that were way to big (we picked out the littlest ones). I have already taken several pictures so I just have to share. I will be updating this post periodically with more pictures and stories. (I have to add my funny cricket story here. Yesterday I went to feeder's supply to get crickets because I won't be able to get bulk until monday. A girl in her 20s or so was helping me. She had jeans on with torn knees. As she was almost done with my crickets she says "Oh my gosh". "What?" I asked. "A cricket just crawled into my pants." She hurried off to go take care of it and another worker came to finish my cricket order. I found it hilarious).
On to pictures:

Well we had a tiny bit of drama today. First, as I went to put Lilly back in her viv she jumped from my hand and bumped her nose on the glass. Luckily I was able to catch her before she fell. She seemed fine, just gave me this look like "you put a forcefield between me and my basking rock!". She absolutely loves her little corner cave basking spot. On it during the day, under it at night. Well once I made sure she was fine I came out of our room to get on the computer and check bd.org. My temps were reading 108* or so when I left my room, which I knew was high, but figured was okay. I came back and they were 114*!! She was hiding in her cave. I immediately turned the 100w bulb off and drove to the closest pet store (15-20 mins away) and replaced it with a 75w. The basking temp stayed at 98.2 the rest of the day and she seems much happier. She is basking more already. I feel horrible that the temps got that high, but I'm glad that it was on a day when I was home. Anyway, I took more pictures (I will eventually slow down on them lol).

Teri,
Thanks for the compliment! The information I got was that her mom is normal and her dad is red/orange/ god/ sandfire/ hypoorange/ gg. She has dark nails. If you're curious you can go to http://www.thedragonhut.com. Her mom is Izzy and her dad is Darwin.

Lilly has been cracking me up today. I love getting to actually experience all these funny beardie behaviors everyone is talking about. She chases crickets with such gusto I just love to watch it. She tiptoed over to one eating her salad and then CHOMP. Haha, I know you all are used to seeing that every day, but I'm still new to it. She is hilarious with her butterworms. She isn't one of those dragons that gobbles them in one bite. She plays hard to get with them. When I set them down she actually turns away. She will turn back to check and see where it is, then turn away again, until eventually those disappear to. She loves to eat them when I turn my back. Today I took her out of the viv for no reason other than to love on her for about 20 minutes today. For quite a while she just sat on my chest and watched me. Then she got down to explore and sat on my lap. I looked down to see the little booger grab the edge of my shirt and try to eat that. I think it was similar to the color of her hornworms. Anyway, she is very obviously getting ready to shed her tail. Poor thing, has to deal with relocation stress and shedding. Here's one more picture I made for LOL Beardies...

And here's her updated viv. I added a stick so she could get closer to her UVB. She used it this morning to stand up and poop lol.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
