Lilly and Lyla

I finally got my new baby today! She has done great so far. Other than a dark belly she has shown no signs of relocation stress. At 6 months and 104 gm, she ate a meal that would have rivaled my boyfriends 10 month old, 314 gm dragon. She had hornworms, butterworms, and crickets. We actually had to cut her off on cricket because I stupidly bought some that were way to big (we picked out the littlest ones). I have already taken several pictures so I just have to share. I will be updating this post periodically with more pictures and stories. (I have to add my funny cricket story here. Yesterday I went to feeder's supply to get crickets because I won't be able to get bulk until monday. A girl in her 20s or so was helping me. She had jeans on with torn knees. As she was almost done with my crickets she says "Oh my gosh". "What?" I asked. "A cricket just crawled into my pants." She hurried off to go take care of it and another worker came to finish my cricket order. I found it hilarious).

She still has a HUGE appetite. She wants nothing to do with her greens, but loves her bugs and fruit. I've decided it's time to start cutting her back on feeders seeing as she's 18 months and has gained 30 grams in the past few weeks. I weighed her yesterday and about fell over when I saw she was 543 :shock: .

WOW! 30 grams in a few weeks! That's great! What ever happened with her eggs?? Does she just keep reabsorbing them?? I posted Belle's weight last night, she's catching up!

I think we were seeing egg follicles all along, but I'm really not sure. She's not acting gravid in any way except being hungry.

We haven't been out much because the humidity is unbearable. We have been having 95 degree heat with 85% humidity! I can't stand to be out in it for too long and Lilly doesn't need to be in that humidity!
She is still an absolute pig. Yesterday Jackie had a milkbone she was chewing on and Lilly was very curious about what she was doing. She watched Jackie for about 20 minutes, gradually edging closer and closer before finally running up and grabbing a piece of the milkbone :shock: ! Apparently she didn't like it though cuz she spit it right back out. Then tried to eat it again. I need to start getting her some cheerios or something, she seems to love crunchy things!

Sara, 95 degree heat is hot. That temp (+/- ) is standard in our area, but our idea of high humidity is 51%. You can keep the 85% humidity. I bet you are really dying at that heat/humidity, I would be, that's just one reason why I don't want to leave my local area.
