The basking/heat bulb should be approx. 10-12" from your beardie, provided you are using a digital thermometer or temp gun to measure temps.
The UVB distance depends on what type you are using. If it is a fluorescent tube, such as the Reptisun, then 6-8" from the top of your beardie is best for optimal exposure. Are you using a fluorescent tube UVB or an MVB(heat/uvb in one)?

The UVB in a reptisun, and it's the spiral......and I dont have a temp gun....im using the little cirucular temps that stick on the back on the tank

Unfortunately, the coil/compact(spiral) uvb bulbs do not emit enough UVB for a bearded dragon. You would be better off with the Reptisun 10 fluorescent "tube". When will you be moving your beardie into the 40+ gal tank? Maybe you could get a Reptisun tube light to go in the new viv. It should stretch a good 2/3 the length of the viv and needs to be within 6-8" of your beardie.
You may also want to consider getting a digital thermometer with a wire and probe or a temp gun. The circular thermometers that you stick on the tank are not very accurate. Your beardies temps are vital to his health and well being. You must be able to measure the temps correctly. The temps need to be hot enough for your beardie to bask and to aid in digestion. On the other hand if the temps are too hot it can cause dehydration. Just something to consider for the health of your beardie.

Thanks and yea I'm hoping to get her in a at least a 40 gallon by this weekend....my boyfriend has a homemade tank but it's at least 60 gallon and it's huge; i'm iffy on putting her in that, I just want to go to pets mart and get her a 40 gal....thats clean.

I took her to the vet yesterday because of her eye infection and they gave me some antibiotics and her eyes looked wonderful this morning, so it seems to be working. He did see some eggs in her poop but said it looked pretty normal to him just to keep an eye out for loose stool.....but he said I was doing a wonderful job on her and she was really healthy

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
