29 December 2021
To Monday 27 December 2021 across NSW, 95 per cent of people aged 16 and over have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 93.5 per cent have received two doses.

Of the people aged 12 to 15, 81.5 per cent have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 78.2 per cent have received two doses.

The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 13,582,491 with 4,342,392 administered by NSW Health to 8pm last night and 9,240,099 administered by the GP network, pharmacies and other providers to 11.59pm on Monday 27 December 2021.

NSW Health encourages everyone who is eligible to book into a NSW Health vaccination clinic or another provider without delay through the COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder.

Everyone aged 18 years and older may now receive a booster after receiving their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. We urge people to get their booster dose as soon as they are eligible, to best protect yourself, your loved ones and the community from the ongoing transmission of COVID-19. If you are due for a booster over the Christmas/New Year period, you can have it a little earlier.

We also strongly recommend that people aged 12 years and over who are severely immunocompromised have a third primary dose of vaccine from two months after their second dose.

NSW Health is today reporting the death of 3 people with COVID-19.
2 women, one woman in her 70s and one woman in her 90s, died at the Warabrook Aged Care facility in Newcastle where they acquired their infections. The woman in her 90s had received 3 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and had underlying health conditions. The woman in her 70s had received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and had underlying health conditions.
A man in his 80s from Sydney's Inner West died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and had underlying health conditions.

There are currently 625 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 61 people in intensive care, 23 of whom require ventilation.
There were 157,758 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 93,581.
NSW recorded 11,201 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

48 COVID-19 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 154,002.
Testing capacity in NSW is currently under enormous pressure and the only people getting a PCR (nose and throat swab) should be those who have COVID-19 symptoms; live in a household with a confirmed COVID-19-positive case; or have been in a venue which NSW Health has advised there has been high transmission.
This applies to people who are fully or partially vaccinated, as well as those not vaccinated.

NSW Health, in recent weeks, has changed its approach to contact tracing for the growing number of people in the community exposed to cases of COVID-19.
NSW Health is now prioritising households of cases and settings with vulnerable people where COVID-19 cases may have visited or worked.
People who have been confirmed as COVID-19 cases are asked to tell those they have recently spent time with that they have tested positive.
Most people who become aware that they been exposed to a person with COVID-19 will be advised of this by their friends, colleagues and social networks. NSW Health will only contact with a small number of exposed people to direct them into self-isolation under the public health order.

Most people who have spent time with a person with COVID-19 in an indoor setting are advised to get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.
When the negative test result is received, they can leave isolation. NSW Health asks that they continue to be aware of any developing COVID-19 symptoms.
If symptoms do later appear, people are asked to immediately seek a PCR test, and isolate until a negative test is received.
If you do not have symptoms, it is advised to take a rapid antigen test as an additional precaution before going out, particularly if socialising in groups of people or anywhere it may be difficult to socially distance. Information on how to use rapid antigen tests is available on the NSW Government website.
Around a quarter of people exposed to COVID-19 may still develop their infection after seven days. For the next seven days, they should exercise caution and avoid high-risk settings and large indoor gatherings, and use a rapid antigen test if coming into contact with vulnerable people.

Of the 11,201 cases reported to 8pm last night,
2,181 are from South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (LHD),
1,855 are from South Western Sydney LHD,
1,744 are from Sydney LHD,
1,654 are from Western Sydney LHD,
1,359 are from Northern Sydney LHD,
775 are from Hunter New England LHD,
388 are from Nepean Blue Mountains LHD,
291 are from Central Coast LHD,
255 are from Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD,
216 are from Northern NSW LHD,
91 are from Mid North Coast LHD,
73 are from Murrumbidgee LHD,
73 are from Western NSW LHD,
39 are from Southern NSW LHD,
5 are from Far West LHD,
1 is in a correctional setting,
and 201 are yet to be assigned to an LHD.

Testing clinics & path labs in all major metro areas are being overwhelmed by residents who are seeking PCR tests , many to get clearance to travel interstate .
NSW is moving non-necessary covid testing to Rapid Antigen Testing , and contact tracing is under review to change the definition of "close contacts" .
Too bad RATs are scarce as hen's teeth thoughout NSW , as there's been a huge run on RATs in chemists and grocery stores and they have become the new "dunnypaper" .

Incredibly :
Sydney Harbour's NY Fireworks are still on.
The SCG will still be doing the international Cricket ....
Masks are still not mandated in all settings.
Let-It-Rip Dom wants everyone to get out there and party , spend and travel all over the state and country .... most pple are ignoring this call and staying put and holding back on all those activities .
No lockdowns planned.

30 December = DELTA WAVE Day 197 & OMICRON TSUSAMI Day 22

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Delta Wave and Omicron Outbreaks in all states of Australia except WA and Victoria are hitting new all time daily local case records DAILY and showing no sign of the vertical case number curve slowing --- going from bad to worse . IN FACT , todays case numbers from all the major eastern states , in particular NSW , Vic , QLD, and SA were nothing short of cataclysmic .

National Cabinet has changed the definition of a close contact to "exposed to a known covid case" in an enclosed space for at least 4 hours. This will be put into effect in all states except WA, NT and QLD who refused on expert health advise to agree.

COMBINED DELTA & OMICRON WAVE IN AUSTRALIA

30dec2021-CLUSTERS.png

30dec2021-mystery.png

Australia recorded more than 20k daily cases today , recording 21341 cases o/night ,
Australia's CUMULATIVE LOCAL DELTA + OMICRON cases as of today = 335229.

30/12/2021 POSITIVITY RATES

30dec2021-positivities.png

30dec2021-positivities-daily.png

Positivities > 5% are regarded as covid out of control , pandemic desaster levels by WHO , CDC etc.

National recorded highs daily THIS WEEK

New Australian records

22/12/2021 = 5739 up 24%
23/12/2021 = 8685 up 51%
24/12/2021 = 9128 up 5%
25/12/2021 = 9991 up 9%
26/12/2021 = 9619
27/12/2021 = 10189 up 2% BUT the real numbers will be significantly higher as it's now taking up to a week in NSW and Victoria to return PCR test results and this is masking the TRUE EXTENT of Delta and Omicron spread in NSW & Victoria.
28/12/2021 = 11263 up 11% , more than doubled daily case numbers in under 7 days. *
29/12/2021 = 18542 up 65% *
30/12/2021 = 21341 up 15% *

* NB ; very long delays getting PCR test results ( > 4 days in NSW )

DELTA DEATHS TODAY

Australia = 16
NSW = 1, ==> total in this DELTA WAVE = 602
Victoria 14, ==> total in this DELTA WAVE = 707
ACT = 0 . ==> total in this DELTA WAVE = 12
NT total in this DELTA WAVE ( and for entire pandemic ) = 1

A desasterously bad day in NSW !

NSW recorded a horrendous and terrifying new record over night of 12226 LOCAL cases , NSW local total for DELTA - OMICRON WAVE now 161871 cases.
11776 mystery cases.
2 repats from o/seas.
NSW recorded 1 delta death..

NSW POSITIVITY = 12.58%
This puts NSW on par will the worse covid hotspots overseas , this is a national desaster , only the PM and NSW Premier are still refusing to take expert health advice and try to control Delta & Omicron spread.
30dec2021-NSW-DAILY-TESTS-AND-POSITIVITY.png

NSW Reff = 1.7 ( most scientifically literate people in NSW are regarding this number as NOT reflective of teh ACTUAL NSW Reff as case numbers are increasing at a much higher exponential rate than this would infer ).
A key cause of error in this inferred NSW Reff is the very long delays in recieving PCR test results especially in Greater Sydney and Sydney Satellite LHDs.
30-DEC2021-NSW-DAILY-Reff.png

30 December 2021
To Tuesday 28 December 2021 across NSW, 95 % of people aged 16 and over have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 93.5 % have received two doses.

Of the people aged 12 to 15, 81.5 % have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 78.1 % have received two doses.

NSW Health is today reporting the death of a woman in her 70s from the Central Coast who died at Wyong Hospital. She was a resident of the Hakea Grove Aged Care facility, where she acquired her infection. She was not vaccinated and had underlying health conditions.

There are currently 746 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 63 people in intensive care, 24 of whom require ventilation.

There were 97,201 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 157,758.

NSW recorded 12,226 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

43 COVID-19 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 166,184.

Testing capacity in NSW is currently under enormous pressure and the only people getting a PCR (nose and throat swab) should be those who have COVID-19 symptoms; live in a household with a confirmed COVID-19-positive case; or have otherwise been advised by NSW Health to get tested.

This applies to people who are fully or partially vaccinated, as well as those not vaccinated.

Rapid antigen testing can be an additional precaution that you can take if you are planning to socialise with large groups of people, particularly indoors, or interacting with people who are elderly or have serious health conditions. Information on how to use rapid antigen tests is available on the NSW Government website.
However nation wide RATs are in very short supply and expensive ( up to $100 per pack of 5 tests, a very strong disincentive for those on pensions, CES benefits, the working poor , and a problem that's being ignore by the PM and the NSW Premier).

Of the 12,226 cases reported to 8pm last night,
2,229 are from South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (LHD),
2,085 are from South Western Sydney LHD,
2,042 are from Western Sydney LHD,
1,767 are from Sydney LHD,

Omicron is now dominant strain in NSW and is ripping through Greater Sydney & Sydney Satellite LHDs like napalm, even 000 service is being overwhelmed now , and students are being callin to drive ambulences who are run of their feet despite have many crew forced into ISO because they have contracted Delta or Omicron or BOTH VOCs or waiting PCR test results and clearance to return to active duty.

Can hear a literally constant stream of ambulence sirens speeding along the Newcastle - Sydney ByPass ( only a few 100 m from here ) , and there have been lots of MediVac helicopters flying overhead for last few days.... seems the wheels definitely fallen off here in the Lower HNE LHDs LGAs of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland , Cessnock.

Torres Strait Thursday Island COVID-19 outbreak has worsened with 8 new cases detected. Acting Director of Medical Services in the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, Marlow Coates, said they were all connected to the 1 case confirmed yesterday.
The initial case was double vaccinated and is believed to have contracted the virus in New South Wales.
Dr Coates said all those who had tested positive so far were well and being supported at home. He said some of the new cases were vaccinated, but others weren't.
He said all non-critical health functions had been suspended while authorities tried to track the outbreak and protect vulnerable community members.

The double-dose vaccination rate on Thursday Island is currently at 76 per cent for residents aged over 12.

Dr Coates said while the virus would reach all parts of the state eventually, severe weather and grounding of flights would temporarily slow this outbreak, giving authorities a slight head start in contact tracing. He said the weather should not impact testing or vaccination capacity.

Contact tracing is underway and is largely focusing on a flight from Cairns to Horn Island on Christmas Eve, as well as the Torres Strait Hotel on Boxing Day.

The 2 states will be reclassified as 'extreme risk' as local COVID-19 cases surge in those areas. Travel from Queensland or South Australia to WA will not be permitted from 6pm on New Year's Eve unless an exemption is authorised.
Approved travellers must be fully vaccinated and undertake 14 days of hotel quarantine at their own expense on their arrival.

The Northern Territory's daily COVID-19 case tally has almost doubled with 37 new infections detected.ealth Minister Natasha Fyles told reporters on Thursday.

"It is disappointing to have 37 cases but the good news is that that rate of spread is still low in terms of those positive cases," she said.

More than 20 cases are interstate travellers or people who are household contacts of recent arrivals in the territory.

Two people tested positive after going to a birthday party in Darwin on December 23.

Nine more have been linked to a community cluster in the towns of Tennant Creek and Katherine, bringing that outbreak to 163 cases.

Two were US marines deployed in Australia who flew to the NT from Queensland, and another is a Royal Darwin Hospital nurse.

GOOD RIDDANCE to 2021 , it's NOT BEEN FUN .

31 December 2021

To Wednesday 29 December 2021 across NSW, 95 % of people aged 16 and over have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 93.6 % have received two doses.

Of the people aged 12 to 15, 81.5 % have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 78.2 % have received two doses.

The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 13,648,551, with 4,368,796 administered by NSW Health to 8pm last night and 9,279,755 administered by the GP network, pharmacies and other providers to 11.59pm on Tuesday 29 December 2021.

NSW Health encourages everyone who is eligible to book into a NSW Health vaccination clinic or another provider without delay through the COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder.

Booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine are now available for people aged 18 and over. We urge people to get their booster dose as soon as they are eligible, to best protect yourself, your loved ones and the community from the ongoing transmission of COVID-19. We also strongly recommend that people aged 12 years and over who are severely immunocompromised have a third primary dose of vaccine from two months after their second dose.

NSW Health is today reporting the deaths of 6 people.
A woman in her 80s from western Sydney died at Nepean Hospital. She was a resident of Fitzgerald Aged Care in Windsor, where she acquired her infection. She had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
A man in his 70s from south-western Sydney died at Liverpool Hospital. He was not vaccinated.
A man in his 70s from the Newcastle area died at John Hunter Hospital. He was a resident of the Kilpatrick Court aged care facility in Toronto, where he acquired his infection. He had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
A woman in her 60s from western Sydney died at Liverpool Hospital. She had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
A man in his 90s from Sydney's north shore died at Royal North Shore Hospital. He had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
A man in his 70s from south-western Sydney died at Concord Hospital. He had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

There are currently 832 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 69 people in intensive care, 19 of whom require ventilation.

There were 148,410 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 97,201. NSW recorded 21,151 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
20 COVID-19 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 187,315.

NSW Health urges the community to continue to practise COVID-safe behaviours on New Year's Eve. One of the most effective ways of reducing the spread of COVID-19 is to stick to small groups when socialising and to keep events preferably outdoors, and ensure good ventilation when indoors.
If heading to a venue, use the Service NSW check-in app where available, wear a mask and practise physical distancing.

Of the 21,151 cases reported to 8pm last night,
4,647 are from South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (LHD),
3,439 are from South Western Sydney LHD,
2,919 are from Western Sydney LHD,
2,278 are from Sydney LHD,

131 are from Murrumbidgee LHD,
121 are from Mid North Coast LHD,
6 are from Far West LHD,
and 720 are yet to be assigned to an LHD.

There will be many superspreading events all over NSW , especially in Greater Sydney tonight.
Huge queues at ALL testing clinics all over NSW ( as well in Victoria, SA , ACT, Tasmania, QLD and NT.
RATs are impossible to find anywhere in NSW, Victoria , ACT, QLD, Tasmania and SA, and some unscrupulous chemists are splitting 5pk RATs and selling individual RATs for up to $100 a test . Recommended price for a RAT 5pk is $50.
NSW Health refuse to provide RATs FOC.

The Northern Territory's daily COVID-19 case tally has jumped to 60 infections as Omicron begins spreading through the community.

From 6pm on Friday, people will be required to wear face masks in all indoor public areas, putting a dampener on New Year's Eve celebrations for many.

'In the past 72 hours there has been a growing trend of community transmission,' Chief Minister Michael Gunner told reporters on Friday. 'We had one case of community transmission on Wednesday, four cases ... yesterday and we have at least 11 cases of community transmission today.'

More than 30 of the new cases are infected interstate arrivals or people who were close contacts of previous cases.
Another six cases are linked to a regional Delta outbreak that continues to spread in Katherine, 320km south of Darwin, and Tennant Creek, 510km north of Alice Springs.
The status of another 15 cases is yet to be determined. The majority of the community transmission is in Darwin. 'While we presume all regional cases are Delta we presume interstate arrivals and their close contacts are Omicron,' Mr Gunner said.

The chief minister announced a mask mandate for all public indoor venues across the territory, to start at 6pm on Friday.

COMPARE PRIOR WAVES
1jan2022-increasing-cases-in-hospital-in-uncharted-territory.png

We are now in uncharted terrritory in Australian because our Federal Government has repeated the same mistake made elsewhere of opening up prematurely, with insufficent people fully vaxxed ( w/boosters ) and trying the failed path of "living with Covid" and "letting Covid Rip".

1jan2022-increasing-cases-in-hospital-cf-prior-waves.png

Charted is a comparison of case numbers vs hospital bed occupied by severely ill covid cases for previous waves with this Omicron Tsusami..
Telling us with little supporting evidence , as it's too soon after Omicron emerged to know ,that Omicron is a mild VOC cf Delta , and Alpha ? but the hospitalisation (indicator of case severity) is climbing very steeply ( perhaps a consequence of the HUGE numbers ( record ) of new cases especially in NSW, Vic, QLD, and SA , and already at this very early stage putting already stressed NSW, Vic, QLD and SA hospital systems under enough stress to call in infected health workers to work despite their covid status .

Restrictions on PCR testing.
Testing capacity in NSW is currently under enormous pressure and the only people getting a PCR (nose and throat swab) should be those who have COVID-19 symptoms; live in a household with a confirmed COVID-19-positive case; Interstate travellers and international arrivals are not required to have a PCR test and should instead undertake Rapid Antigen Tests, as per the guidelines for the respective states and territories.
Symptomatic arrivals will be required to get a PCR as soon as possible and isolate until a negative result is received. If the PCR test is positive, the arrival must treat themselves as a positive case.
This applies to people who are fully or partially vaccinated, as well as those not vaccinated.

30 COVID-19 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 209,862.
Of the 22,577 cases reported to 8pm last night,

Queensland's mask mandate has been expanded to include workplaces, hospitality venues, and all indoor areas from January 2. It comes as the state recorded 2,266 cases in the 12 hours to 7pm last night.
"From 1am Sunday January 2 ... virtually all indoor spaces except when eating and drinking and when undertaking strenuous activity will now require masks," Deputy Premier Steven Miles told a media conference on Saturday. "This is on the advice of the Chief health Officers and is a further measure to slow that race of increase in cases."

From January 1 travellers with a negative result from either a PCR test or a Rapid Antigen Test will be given the green light to cross the border.
'The Chief Health Officer is satisfied that a negative result using a Rapid Antigen Test is sufficient for interstate arrivals,' Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced this week.Travellers will still need to complete a border declaration confirming that they have completed a negative test.
Anyone caught making false declarations faces cripplingly heavy fines if caught by authorities.
The move comes as Queensland comes to terms with the reality of living with Covid.

Western Australia has detected two new local COVID-19 cases linked to an infected French backpacker who travelled from Queensland. The new cases are close contacts of another recent infection and are in hotel quarantine, WA Health said on Saturday.
This takes the total number of cases linked to the so-called "backpacker outbreak" to 16, and includes the unvaccinated 25-year-old index case.
Many of the cases went to a busy Perth Mess Hall dance party with about 400 other people on December 19, many from the traveller community.
More than 770 close contacts have been identified, with 18 yet to be tested as police struggle to track down some backpackers who are thought to have left WA or are avoiding testing.

One new infection among returned travellers has also been identified.

WA has moved both Tasmania, which jumped from 520 active COVID-19 cases to 938 on New Year's Day, and the ACT, which increased by 448 cases to a total of 1479, from medium risk to high risk.
This means that, from Monday, anyone entering the state from the ACT or Tasmania must be fully vaccinated, take a PCR test within 24 hours of arrival and take another test on day 12 of their 14-day self-isolation.
They must also use the G2G Now app while in quarantine.

South Australia has reported 2100 new Covid cases with hospitalisations jumping from 40 to 71.
Just four Covid patients are in the intensive care ward.
Ten children are among the 71 people in South Australian hospitals being treated for COVID-19.
Among those in hospital are 10 children, one teenager, eight people in their 20s, seven people in their 30s, five people in their 40s, 16 people in their 50s, nine people in their 60s, six people in their 70s, seven people in their 80s, and two people in their 90s.

Earlier in the week a child under two years of age died with the virus.
Four people are in intensive care, all adults, including one who is on a ventilator.
The virus is also appearing in vulnerable communities and prisons.

Premier Steven Marshall said a worker at the Port Augusta sobering-up clinic was found to have the virus after increased detections in waste water.
Three residents at the clinic have also turned positive. 'All of those people will be designated as close contacts. We believe there could be between 30 and 50,' Mr Marshall told reporters on Saturday.

Thirty-six inmates at three prisons - Mobilong, Adelaide Women's and Adelaide Pre-Release - have the virus. 'We are putting plans in place to make sure we can manage this in the best-practice way,' Mr Marshall said.

Tasmania's Covid infections have TRIPLED to 433 cases on New Year's Day.Tasmania was free of the virus when it reopened to fully vaccinated travellers from mainland hotspots on December 15. The island state's government chose to wait until the population was 90% vaccinated unlike the majority of other states that opened at 80%.
Before opening Tasmania, with population of more than 541,000, had 238 cases in total and 13 deaths ( FOR THE ENTIRE PANDEMIC).

On Thursday it scrapped the requirement for travellers to take a PCR rest in the 72-hour period before travel to the state, moving to a rapid antigen test one day before arriving.( In line with NSW .)

The Northern Territory has recorded 54 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, including 6 cases of community transmission. Of the community transmission cases, five were detected in Darwin and one was recorded in Katherine, according to a statement issued by the NT government.

18 of the new cases are in interstate arrivals. They include 2 cases in Nhulunbuy, in north-east Arnhem Land, who arrived separately on December 29.
The interstate cases also include 2 miners from the Granites Gold Mine in the Tanami and one miner from the Gemco mine on Groote Eylandt.

9 of the new cases are close contacts of previous cases, according to the statement.

21 of the cases are being investigated by authorities to determine the source.

Addressing the media on Saturday afternoon, NT Health Minister Natasha Fyles said 3e of the cases under investigation had been reported from the Alice Springs testing centre. "We're working through to identify if they are travellers or close contacts or in fact community transmission in Alice Springs," she said.

She said there was also "a large number" of close contacts from the community of Elliot near Tennant Creek but no confirmed cases from the community.

There are currently 21 people in NT hospitals. None are in intensive care.

02 January 2022
To Friday 31 December 2021 across NSW, 95 % of people aged 16 and over have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 93.6 % have received two doses.

Of the people aged 12 to 15, 81.5 % have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 78.2 % have received two doses.

The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 13,687,794, with 4,374,152 administered by NSW Health to 8pm last night and 9,313,642 administered by the GP network, pharmacies and other providers to 11.59pm on Thursday 30 December 2021.

NSW Health encourages everyone who is eligible to book into a NSW Health vaccination clinic or another provider without delay through the COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder.

Booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine are now available for people aged 18 and over. We urge people to get their booster dose as soon as they are eligible, to best protect themselves, their loved ones and the community from the ongoing transmission of COVID-19. We also strongly recommend that people aged 12 years and over who are severely immunocompromised have a third primary dose of vaccine from two months after their second dose.

NSW Health is today reporting the deaths of 2 people.

A man in his 80s from south western Sydney died at Concord Hospital. He had received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccination.

A man in his 90s from western Sydney died at Blacktown Hospital. He had received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccination.

There are currently AN ALL TIME RECORD FOR NSW OF 1,066 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 83 people in intensive care, 24 of whom require ventilation.

There were 90,019 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day’s total of 119,278.

NSW recorded 18,278 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

22 COVID-19 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 228,118.
Testing capacity in NSW is currently under enormous pressure and the only people getting a PCR (nose and throat swab) should be those who have COVID-19 symptoms; live in a household with a confirmed COVID-19-positive case; or have otherwise been advised by NSW Health to get tested.

Interstate travellers and international arrivals are not required to have a PCR test and should instead undertake Rapid Antigen Tests, as per the guidelines for the respective states and territories.

Symptomatic arrivals will be required to get a PCR as soon as possible and isolate until a negative result is received. If the PCR test is positive, the arrival must treat themselves as a positive case.

This applies to people who are fully or partially vaccinated, as well as those not vaccinated.

Rapid antigen testing can be an additional precaution that you can take if you are planning to socialise with large groups of people, particularly indoors, or interacting with people who are elderly or have serious health conditions. Information on how to use rapid antigen tests is available on the NSW Government website.

Around a quarter of people exposed to COVID-19 may still develop their infection beyond the 7 days after exposure. For the subsequent seven-day period, they should exercise caution and avoid high-risk settings and large indoor gatherings.

Of the 18,278 cases reported to 8pm last night,

3 JANUARY = DELTA WAVE Day 201 & OMICRON TSUSAMI Day 26

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

ScoMo has refused to make RATs available to all Australians FOC on demand, despite
> daily calls by Australia's leading health experts, leading ICU clinicians, leading Medical Doctors
> out of control DELTA+OMICRON TSUSAMIs in all the eastern states,
> restrictions on who now qualifies for a FREE PCR test ( and telling us all to take responsibility for our own covid safety by NOT getting PCR test but to BUY and USE a RAT BUT NOT ENSURING ADEQUATE SUPPLIES OF RATs in NSW, Vic, SA, QLD, ACT to meet demand or setting a price
> spirally hospitalizations in NSW, Vic, SA, ACT, QLD ( record hospitalisations in Vic , NSW, QLD & SA )
> "000" Emergeny NO LONGER to be used to call for help if suffering from Covid
> telling sick covid people NOT to report to Hospital ERs or to call for an ambulance
> and not getting enough AZ vaxxed people boosted w/ an mRNA Booster
> and not getting the 5 to 11 yo vaxx rollout started.

Again the Federal Govt is refusing to accept it's constitutional responsibilities and to step in where it should be , instead , again this falls to the Premiers , the State CHOs and the State Health Ministers.

03 January 2022
The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 13,693,067 with 4,379,425 administered by NSW Health to 8pm last night and 9,313,642 administered by the GP network, pharmacies and other providers to 11.59pm on Thursday 30 December 2021.

NSW Health encourages everyone who is eligible to book into a NSW Health vaccination clinic or another provider without delay through the COVID-19 vaccine clinic finder.
Booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine are now available for people aged 18 and over. From tomorrow, those 18 years and over are eligible for a booster if they had their second dose at least 4 months ago.

NSW Health is reporting the deaths of four people with COVID-19, two men and two women. Two people were aged in their 70s, one in their 80s, and one in their 90s.
Three people had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, and one person had received three doses.
This includes a woman in her 90s from western Sydney who died at Bolton Clarke Cabrini Aged Care Facility in Westmead. It is the first death linked to an outbreak at this facility.

There are currently 1,204 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 95 people in intensive care, 25 of whom require ventilation.
There were 96,765 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day’s total of 90,019.

NSW recorded 20,794 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

32 COVID-19 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 248,875.

This applies to people who are fully or partially vaccinated, as well as those who are not vaccinated.

Rapid antigen testing can be an additional precaution that you can take if you are planning to socialise with large groups of people, particularly indoors, or interacting with people who are elderly or have serious health conditions. Information on how to use rapid antigen tests is available on the NSW Government website.

People are at risk of developing COVID-19 for 14 days after they were last in contact with a COVID-positive person, so it is important to take precautions during this time. While most people will become positive within the first week after exposure, around a quarter of people exposed to COVID-19 will develop their infection in the following seven days. If you have had a high-risk interaction with someone who has COVID-19, it is important to exercise caution and avoid high-risk settings and large indoor gatherings for 14 days after you last had contact with them.

Of the 20,794 cases reported to 8pm last night,
4,047 are from Western Sydney Local Health District (LHD),
3,966 are from South Western Sydney LHD,
3,576 are from South Eastern Sydney LHD,
