Hey guys

Just a quick question. I got my first dragon a couple of days ago and from what I have been reading baby dragons should be eating a lot of crickets. However leonidas seems to only want to eat only one or two crickets in the morning and the same at night. Just wondering if he should be eating more or not? Hes only a few weeks old so I am thinking maybe he is just not big enough yet to handle more than four crickets a day. He also does get his veggies on the side. Also I do gut load the crickets pretty well with t-rex calcium plus. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Um just a quick note be sure not to leave crickets in there as it sleeps they can bite him and disturb him when hes sleeping

Well I guess I am just worried he is not eating enough. He is a real small lizard so naturally he is not going to have a big appetite. This morning he stopped eating his usual two crickets although I did mist him down with some water and he did manage to eat some kale that i place in front of him. Hopefully he will be alright, we will see if he eats tonight. I wondering if if it has anything to do with the fact I don't have a UVB bulb because the starter kit I bought when I got him didn't have one. I already ordered one from pet mountain with the reptisun 10.0 bulb and hood but it probably won't get here until next week. Until then he will have to make do with the basking light that I have. Also I think I am going to replace his dial thermometer with a digtal one. The ones that come will the zilla desert kit seem cheaply made and are not giving me accurate readings.

Go to your local Walmart (assuming you are in the US) and get the accurite digital with probe for $12. I love it, it gives you the basking temp and the cool side temp and a humidity reading. You are probably correct, they tend to not have an appetite when they don't have any uvb or a bulb that is too old. The reptisun 10 tubes are good but be prepared to change the bulb after 4.5 months, I had to do that with Goldie.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
